I Mastered Pistoleer in about 5 days BY MYSELF using this method...

First, I am a Master CH - new pets with light armor help, but aren't necessary (medic skills help to, but I didn't have any). I used an FWG5 with moderate damage and 1.2 speed. I also had a DX2 and a Rebublic Blaster for the different damage types. I carried around an old Scout Blaster to hit the lairs with after all the mobs were taken care of to keep my other pistols' condition up.

Get Ranged Support IV or you'll miss a lot and go buy a crate of Tatooine Sunburns, too.

The first task is to fly to Narmale on Rori, group with something (pets, friends), and find Ravenous Torton missions (Try for the South, not necessary, but there are hills and for all of you with any Terrain Negotiation, it'll be much easier to kite them). Double-check the resistances - I did it all pre-patch. Do these missions until you are at 004X and have FanShot.

Now, say goodbye to Rori and buy a ticket to Dantooine's Aggro Outpost.

Again, group with as much as you can, equip your FWG5, and stock up on the Seething Bol missions (avoid the SouthWest - hills in this case are bad) - the one's worth 16k. When you get to your first mission, send your pet in to tank the lair. Stay back and DO NOT FIRE until there are a total of 4 Seething Bol Crushers attacking your tank. Tilt back a Sunburn and start spamming FanShot (I made a macro to add 10 attacks in 1 click). This should take down the initial 4 Bols in no time.

If you have stims, heal your tank, but keep it attacking the lair. If the mobs have healed it, go ahead and attack it yourself to get the last 2 to spawn. If they come out and you're still attacking, they will aggro you, so Pistol Whip 'em, sic your pet on them and FanShot again. After that, finish off the lair, harvest their meat, and enjoy the 16k you just made, too! I averaged about 4,750 xp off each Bol and the lair and made about 1 million credits, not to mention 25k herbivore meat. Next stop, Smuggler!

Great, how do you master CH in no time flat to make this effective to the non-CH out there?

I might as well say " you can master any ranged proff in 3 days easy, first buff yourself with enhanceD's because you are a master doctor, and have planty of stimE's on hand...."

or " ...just apply bleeds and /feign, you can kill anything"

Bein a master sumthin gives you all kinds of skills that make power grinding easier. For the non-masters out there....



It all comes down to one thing, kill lots of stuff.

besides that, probably a very good way to grind through pistoleer

truthfully you can master ANY combat prof in like 5 days with a Master Creature Handler title hanging over your head

It's like the old thing of how to become a millionaire:

lol, im not trying to flame either, but they have a point. i was slowly going up the pistoleer tree and then i picked up CM, used the "cant kill anything, only take them to 1 hit point" nerf to master all but the crafting boxs of CM (by just /peace'ing a nuna and poisoning it over and over). now ive completed 5 boxes of pistoleer in a week.

hehehehe...

Of course, if you have the skill points, he is right. Master Creature Handler, then master whatever combat profession you want. It'll be cake, and you'll spend a fraction of the time (even factoring in how long it takes to master CH).

Wouldn't it be nice if pets weren't the answer for everything?

Okay - Note that I didn't say that mastering CH was necessary - all you need is a creature to take the hits long enough to FanShot the first 4 Bols.

For everyone who has to be spoon-fed what to do, go hunting (Dant, Endor, Squill Caves) for an hour with a group and harvest all the kills to get Scouting up to 4040 and enough for Novice CH - halfway there. Go get a baby something-or-other and find your hunting buddies again - send your pet in at the last second and rake in the CH xp.

Go grab Medic - sit in the cantina for a few minutes until you have the skills to use Stim B's.

Problems solved.

One more note - If you can wear armor, you probably don't need pets - shoot the lair 'til 4 are out, kite and FanShot.

why is the answer to everyting in this game -"first send in your pet......."?

I'm currently grinding pistoleer; 2/0/4/3 after 2 days. I'm not a CH or master doctor. I do however have bounty pisotl 4 and a suit of 73% kinetic ubese which makes me almost untouchable. I pull lvl 32 missions on dantooine solo and can take every type of voritor on dantooine; solo. I always get doctor buffs before going out though, no sense in not getting them. Best way to grind pistoleer is to get bounty pistol so you can healthshot 1 and 2+torso shot (second best pistol attack in the game).

GOD I'm so tired of hearing this dead Cliche, GET OVER IT if your a real pistoleer you don't need to solely depend on your pets exspecialy after this patch.... I've begun to solo Frienzied Grauls with just my pistoleer skills alone
