I went to aggro outpost and grouped with my GSP and the highest missions I could get are 9k. This doesn't work

There actually is a point here. I started out as Marksman/Pistoleer primarily. It started going really slow so I decided to work on my Medic Skills. I managed to get up to Master Doctor pretty easily. Now I flipped back to my pistol and thanks to my buffs and heals pistol is going up 2-3x faster than I did solo. I think all the weapon skills work better if you master a secondary skill first like Medic, Scout, CH, something like that.

I dunno how the double weapon guys do it melee/ranged, ranged/ranged, melee/melee. That must be hard work.

There is a much better method than first mastering ch.

1: buy 70%+ kenetic ubese (this shouldn't be that exspensive but prices will vary per server)
2: get yourself a good set of master doc buffs (ending stats over 2k each)
3: get the best mind food you can find and a good supply of muon gold
(alternate hear is entertainer buffs but they arent as easy to find as docs where i'm from)
4: buy ticket to Dathomir
5: run baz missions (just dbl bleed and use your current favorite attack they arent going to touch you dmg wise) until the buffs fade goto step 1

I just finished Pistoleer in 3 days using this, average xp 1m per day.

why is the answer to everyting in this game -"first send in your pet......."?

Pets are the the duct tape of SWG they can fix anything if you apply a heavy amount.

Yeah the problem with that is, I'm not just a Pistoleer. I can't just go pick up doctor and ch. I'm heavily vested in Smuggler and Merchant (and let me tell you how much it costs crossing THREE novice professions in skill points!). I agree whole heartedly. I wish the answer to everything wasn't "Get a droid." Or "Get a pet." Even a low level one. I don't want a pet. If I did, I'd get a dog. And I'd pet him. I wouldn't send him into the lairs of wild beasts to take blows for me. Why? Because this is a Role Playing game that's why.

As a Smuggler it is even easier, but more time consuming.

Health Shot 2 and Health Shot 1 - Body shot til they get near and then Feign Death

Wake up take off the last 1 hp and done.

It takes longer but you can solo almost anything in the game.

Seems like a good idea, definately another way to put the pet to it's best usage... And people have been complaining about pet nerfs... bah... As I see it, you've just gotta use them with a bit more common sense.

@JTGalpha
The fastest way to grind your way to MP is to use a pet... ...but who said you have to go about it the fastest way? IMHO this game is all about enjoying the journey through it. My personal pref is to putter along seeing lots on the way. About the only good thing with people grinding out profession after profession is that burn out and leave it to us more relaxed types; I've been playing since beta 3 and still haven't mastered anything because I like to wander all over the place rather than grind for hours. Relax man, do your thing with your toon, and don't worry if you can't grind through every profession known to man in 3 days. Just think of the calamity that's gonna ensue when the grinders run out of things to grind; we'll have mid-life crisis' going on everywhere in SWG...

Correction, the fastest way to grind Pistoleer WAS using a pet, when you could dabble to 3/2 get a Mauler and level pistoleer in 3 days.

Now you need to be a little more creative to do it.

Screw the pets. I am a master Ch and pistoleer. You can do pistoleer without a pet. Just get buffs. But having a pet makes it that much easier and faster. All you keep flaming about him using his abilities to the fullest. Those who are not ch but wanna master pistoleer then use your **edit** heads. Group with a good Ch let his pets do the tanking stand back drinf a sunburn and spam the hell outta stopping shot or fan shot( fan being the best ). You can still msater it in 5 days if you play alot and go for large animals and not the baby ones on the starter planets like sharnaf bulls.

You dont need pets or driods, I bought a suit of ubese with 73% resists and got all buffed up mind included. Im a 0/4/4/3 (could be 3/4/4/3 but dont have the points) and went to the tusken fort and cleaned house, it wasnt until my mind buffs wore off that I was incapped and killed and even then if I had been a little more careful I could have avoided this.
