Thread: KD nerf balanced for pvp but not pve, Fix pistoleer skills as well.

Ok well I'm a master pistoleer like many on this forum here and in game, we have just been made useless at master, the 2 master attacks now are useless, disarmingshot 1 has always been crap.


When I first got disarmshot 1 I tested it in pvp with a friend, it did 1 dmg to his weapon after about 6 shots. If this attack was meant to disarm the opponent please make it so that it does the dmg to their weapon. per say - You use disarming shot on *** for 374 dmg! well can you make it so it actually does 374 to their weapon? or was that not what is was meanted to do?


KD in pve was the only way anyone were to solo a mob. I can totally understand the timer if it was pvp only but not pve. so now we cannot solo a mob meanwhile some oter borken classes that got some love today got more than what they asked for, how is it that they can do 10x our best dmg? if I don't use fanshot or stopping shot I will never see 1k dmg on a mob. unless with a 30% max dmg power up...


and if so these classes can do 10k dmg, in pvp the damage is reduced 75% if i am not mistaken, well that sums it up pretty clear for me as 25% of 10000 is 2500.


No player can take 2500 dmg not even while buffed by a master doctor.


so far i've seen myself in game llc and commando weapons doing 6k dmg. well 6k dmg is still 6 times better that the 1k pistoleers can do with our best specials.


I know prolly the bh's and commandos will give mecrap about this because oh they are uber now and pistoleer isn't. But lets keep it real here.


Well I don't support being able to spam kd in pvp, but in pve kd is very important in order to stay alive for us. We now can do kd and kd them for 5 secs then get beat up for 25 seconds. well most mobs kill us in about 15 seconds so.. even with doctor buffs we wouldn't last long.


I don't care about disarmingshot 2 being kd or not because kd is still screwed up in pve.


and the game is majorly screwed damage wise.


any other pistoleers wish to contribute something about the prof please do so.


but these are the only problems that I can see atm.


guys please try to keep profanity on the hush no need to get hasty on a forum board =)

The only thing that i can think about it now is!!How i can run missions??How can i gain some Good XP?Most of the creatures are agroo and you can t run solo with something to help you out!!I was faded to run some EASY(VERY EASY) missions and make like 2k maybe a little more with plus 3k(if i can get this much) xp for each mission that i complete!!!
So, pistollers CAN T do solo or fair missions!!Im almost MASTER pistoller man, and i can t EVEN fight a 1x1 fight with some monster!!


Creature handler can??YES IT CAN!!!


Bounty hunters can???YES IT CAN!!!


Teraskasi can??YES IT CAN!!!


Some other classes can do UP TO 6k OF DAMAGE!!!And choose where to HIT(body, legs , or mind).The pistoller make a Fanshot and pray so it hits in the same area!!!Otherwize he hits 1k on legs,1k on mind. 1k on body!!!And do NOT kill the creature at all.Why don t you call GAMBLE SHOT??
Forget it, the guys who make the updates dosen t like pistollers!!!LOL.

I haven't tested it yet, but we will need to use warning shotI think, with pistol meleedefense1 to buy us time and space if the warning shots don't work. Other than that, get a pet.

Also take this into note, as a bh or commando since after patch they can solo mobs with 1 shot or 2 shots, while a pistoleer even at master takes serveral minutes that was when kd wasn't on a timer. for the time it takes us to chestshot2, pistolmeleedef1, fanshot, these other classes could of killed 2 mobs, and by the time we kill the mob they could of wiped out a whole lair and whatever it spawned.

fan shot for 1k if your lucky.. its totaly randomized from 300-1000


I think they should remove the 1 sec delay on all attacks and raise pistoleer speed if there not gonna change weapons. speed is our ally not damage done in one shot.. so give us more speed then and some stat effects we get none.. a dizzy to Pistol D 2 would be nice


Then of course theres melee classes they are screwed especialy a commando.. they MAY knock him down but when he gets up hes gonna put a world of hurt on them

Yes definatly spd should be taken into consideration since I have heard alot of ppl saying even a master rifleman can shoot their t21 at the same rate as our scout blasters.


Former rifleman myself had 4,2,2,3 in the rifleman trees but decided I was looking for spd over dmg. seriously tho if rifleman at master can shoot a t21 that fast maybe rifleman is what i should of stayed at. not to mention that the time I dropped it was went the devs blindly nerfed the t21 meanwhile the profession was still so very broken.


so if the spd on our weapons mean nothing at master what is the point on spd mods, every gun should be made the exact spd if that was the case. so devs please do your homework! that is all I ask. been hit hard with nerfson all my profs I've played since launch. there is nothing that needs to be nerfed when things are still broken, overpowered means that the profesion is broken period.

the way the pets work now pve is crap for CH as well. auto store, not listening ,running crazy pets that also had thier special posture down attacks nerfed with the 30 second immunity . everyone is getting hit with this crap patch . yes its crap . i am pve strictly and i cant play anymore because pvp kept getting knocked down . now its my turn to cry about it . im 3343 pistol and 3424 ch and i cant even solo a lesser swarming dewback . id hate to see what i could do against anything bigger . devs keep balancing this game for the pvper we arent gonna have a game to play outside of that . just change it from SWG mmorpg to SWG deathmatch

Maybe you should think about getting doctor buffs or eat some spice/food before you fight. I have 0 problems fighting solo white or yellow con mobs. If you are trying to kill red con mobs sure you will die and should not have any chance (but that isn't really the case all the time). I almost never use knockdown in pve as I never needed it. I personally am VERY glad for this knockdown adjustment as now people will show they have some skill instead of just spaming disarm shot 2 or meleedefense 1 over and over until the mob/player is dead.

ok let me give the situation .i carry crates of stim Ds . i popped two out of the crate and put them into thier slots on the tool bar . i then order pets to attack which they started to do but went poof . now i have these swarming dewbacks on me so i shoot and try to use hills and rocks to my advantage . when io tried to stim , guess what? they arent in my inventory. whered they go? to log heaven waiting for me to return . ok so now i have no stims that i usually do and no way to keep them off em save one use of suppression . I managed to kill one but the other one sorta got the best of me . It isnt the lack of skill that put me in this predicament its a lack of a functioning product . thought about burst running but by time i got to that i was too low in my pools . i guess instead of complaining about what doesnt work anymore i should just ask for spammable burst run so i can constantly run away . when i relogged i ahd my stims back but this happened to me twice today . luckily second time was a ronto .

Let me ask you this, if you did not have your pets with you would you have even attacked the dewbacks in the first place? I would bet no, as that exact senario would most likely happen time and time again unless you got off the supression shots on the adds and then focused on a single one. Just because we can't keep a mob on the ground indefinately now with 0 risk of our own death (unless we gets adds, but still then we could have managed 1 or 2 adds at a time) doesn't mean we can't effectively fight solo in pve.

It would have been real easy to fix most of the ballance issues, but that did not happen. A simple fix would have put a 15-30s timer on every skill before that same skill can be used again. Now people will spam a different attack. In the case of pistoleers I don't know what but I'm sure someone will find something. Most other classes still spam one type of attack, so nothing was fixed except to make knockdown really weak.


Problems I've found:


1. If you miss with your knock down shot, you still have to wait 30s.


2. You can't use a different type of knockdown shot.


3. You can't use another stun effect shot after knockdown.


4. It would be nice to know when another stun effect shot or knockdown can beapplied rather than look at a stop watch or count.


With the current changes to pistoleer, I do not hunt anymore as I am unable to hunt/kill anything with worthwhile xp anymore, unless I get into a large group. Now I just slice and heal wounds..
