Thread: KD nerf balanced for pvp but not pve, Fix pistoleer skills as well.

I'm about 6 boxes away from master pistoleer including the top box and I can do over 2,000 damage with my FGW5 without a powerup. Sliced yes, but not poweruped up.

poor example seeing as how ch is a combat class and my pets are my weapons . if i put all those points into commando or bh and wanted to attack yes i would because of the massive damage they do . pistoleer is riddled with low point random ham hits . i saw a rifleman drop one today in one hit . dont give me all that group crap too . how can you sit here and justify all thats broken in this class and others . i want to see you fight a mob and have your weapon auto unequip in the middle of combat . there are things that need to be fixed . i dont care about kd nerfs i do care about things not working and instead of them fixing them they are nerfing .





First off what group crap did I bring up? I never said anything about being in a group as I can fight solo just fine. Then you say we are riddled with low point random ham hits... I guess my 1200-2500 point stoping shots and fan shots are low *shrug* . Next you say you saw a rifleman drop one in one hit, well did that guy have max mind? I would guess no as I haven't been one hit killed in a while until a commando did it to me today.


I used to be a CH when the game first started, then everybody and their brother turned into one and I got out of that profession. I know the problems pets have in combat and I lived with it. Out of the month I was a CH I can probably count how many times my pets poofed in combat, which wasn't that many.


Once I got rid of my pets I learned how to fight effectively solo. That is most of the problem with people (not necessarily talking to you) is that people don't know how to fight without a CH pet/probot/faction pet. They are just so used to having thier tank take all the hits and they sit back and reap the xp rewards.


Then you say you would like to see me fight then my weapons unequip in battle because you are a CH and those are your weapons. Well to that I would say what about your pistoleer skills or whatever other combat skills you have? A CH is not just a combat class, it is more like a suppliment to combat so you can take the easy road to killing creatures.

i didnt read a single word about what was said in your post (only the title).....and i agree with the title at least.....


i cant believe no one saw this coming. i have to 100% agree with the nerf regarding PVP. it had to be done but in doing so PVE is very hard and difficult such that the game is slowly becoming everquest in nature.


i must have told 100s or people about this little PVP/PVE problem from the very start. when we cry nerf we have to be careful in what way we cry it. no one bothered distinguishing 2 very big differences in combat!


at least we have a few things to fall back on besides the fact that we fight ranged....i feel so sorry for polearm and tkas.......so sorry. good luck to you all....you will need it.

ok....i just read your post. please do not hassle commandos. learn the facts about their attacks....there is more to it than just a final damage number (which is what everyone seems to see only).


and you have to all nkow that there is an extra 3x modifier being added to their damage which is not supposed to be there and it will be fixed promptly. dont point fingers. only worry about your own profession.
