Greetings,

I am putting together a thread of ranged combat professions opinions concerning balance for pvp. Your opinion would be greatly appriciated.

1. Do you have Bounty Hunter Pistol Specialization IE 0040?

A. YES

B. NO

2. Do you believe that overall with all weapons and skills Bounty Hunter should have an edge on elite combat classes?

A. YES

B. NO

Thanks for your opinion!

The pecking order should be roughly even. The exceptions are that master professions that take more skill points should get a bit more of an edge as a reward for the additional investment.

Ahhhh...the ultra-special Quintuple Post! I think you need to take "Novice Board Poster" as a prof. Well, I'll answer here since this is apparently the complete post:

No, I don't have BH.

I think someone who spends more skill points should have an overall edge. If I were a Master Rifleman/Master Pistoleer I should be able to wipe the floor with a BH any day of the week. I could do devastating shots with my rifle and then go down to pistol for quick low HAM shots after that. A BH should be the jack of all trades when it comes to guns. They have bonuses in all types but are the master of none. A BH who pulls out his pistol and uses only his pistol should be schooled by a Masterpistoleer or any other single weapon wielding Master. Spending skill points on BH doesn't entitle you to be the master of one single weapon. It makes you very good in three (as well as the regular rifles from the marksman line.) Should BH using only his Pistol have the edge? No.

1. No

2. Yes, if the player had spent only 96 skill points on combat.

Again I apologize for the littering, nothing I could do about it.

There is no need to one star the post, I am just collecting data.

1. NO

2. YES AND NO. With a single weapon they should be killable. For example a BH vs Pistoleer both using just pistols, the Pistoleer should be the winner. However if the BH uses his full arsenal then I believe he should be the winner. They learn different weapons for a reason, so the devs need to fix their other weapon trees.

#1 no

#2 yes, bh should be the oober of the professions but only at master, and only when all their weapons are used together. They should not be able to pair bh and pistoleer skills. BH masters should be good because they integrate their different abilities, not because they spam eye shot.

1) Working the BH Pistol tree, only at box 2.

2) BH should be the best at PvP and normal small number PvE. A BH should be able to school about 4-5 NPCs at a time. They should not be able to solo an ATST or a Krayt Dragon. A BH takes two masters to get and most people complain about their power.

1. No

2. BH should be no better with any weapon than any other profession. The BH should be the best because he can use them all. If he is next to someone, he should be able to Melee or Pistol whip him. But no better than a pistoleer or TK. If he is fighting a pistoleer or TK, then he should be mean with a rifle, but not better than one. A BH's strength and 'Eliteness' comes from his versatility, not being better than any given profession with a particular weapon.

How can you call yourself a master with a pistol if someone is better?

1. Yes

2. Yes, obvouisly i spent a ton of time getting bh, but it feels like its not worth it at some times when i wanna get healed at some points. I also have very first box of creature handlers.... im quite bored with this game and will probably giving up soon. /weep

I love the game but my intrest has dropped off, anyways i think getting that combonation should open up a new elite hybrid profession. Would be cool to have gun spinning and so forth, and some ability to hunt jedi, jango fett style. Maybe unlock westar 34 blaster!

1 : No

2 : No...and here is why....Pistoleers can already compete with pistoleers in damage, not to mention they can take master pistoleer + Expert BH if they wanted. Lets not forget they get decent carbine skills, and can multi-class into carbineer with that if they wanted to. And the LLC is just as good as a flamethrower but without the dot.
