Thread: Bullets.

I just thought of an idea I think would be cool for the ranged professions, but just pistoleer of course, but all of the ranged profs. How making it so that we can buy bullets ? Say 50k-200k for a pack of 10,000 bullets, these would be placed into the gun the same way a powerup would be, and the bullets can be used to increase damage of the pistol slighty, say by 10-50 points max and min, and would be crafted by a weaponsmith who has the right materials. I was thinking about maybe getting bullets that would do different types of damage aswell, say acid bullets, or kinetic, whatever, but that was just a mere thought, the main idea is actually HAVING bullets.

Thoughts ?

Bullets don't really fit into the Star Wars genre. Ranged weps are all lasers and such. Only weapon I would classify as using bullets would maybe be the Slugthrower Carbine.

although most blasters use battery packs, it would be nice to have a more permanant powerup that doesn't add as much as normal powerups and maybe doesn't decay the weapon as much`

Actually this is a pretty cool idea, even better for combat revamp to make melee and range balance out. In the book, the guns have battery charges, need to put in when the charges are empty, can make it into something like droid battery. Really good idea

I know but it's just UNREALISTIC that guns never have to be recharged or have to add more bullets, bit foolish eh ?


God when I'm out hunting I'd love to have a gun that never has to be reloaded! LOL

An interesting idea, you know how much SOE likes consumable craftables.

How would you balance this for melee weapons? What would their version look/act like?

Hmm, with everything that I already have to worry about before combat -buffs, mindbuffs, resist buffs, food, drugs, beverages, armor, PSGs, BE clothing, skill tapes, power ups, slices etc etc - I don't think I'll need something more. I wan't less things to think about and more time to play. Interresting idea though, ideas like these should be posted as soon as they come up!

I also agree with others.. most of these guns are energy.. laser guns. It would be neat if they could make an extra strong/durable powerup that would be used in the guns that use projectile feed mechanisms like the fwg5 or the strycker.

Energy. Devs didn't want unbalance by giving ranged a melee type of dmg. Striker? Yeah, kinetic, but.....

ya, the Tusken is energy, and the Nym's Slugthrower is acid. I never understood those 2.
