Thread: DPS Comparision

I really like Rem's tool for calculating DPS, but I wanted to compare across different guns for different resists. So, I made my own that calculates an 'Adjusted DPS' that takes AP and resistances of the target into account. You can try it out here. I just hacked it together this morning, but it seems to be accurate so far.

i haven't got to test it yet, but it looks nice!

there's another downloadable program like this that is a little more effective though (kinda hard to use)...it lets you input your stats, your enemy's stats, your weapon stats, and comes up with how long and with what special you should attack.

for web-based, simpler calculations though, this site looks great

Wow, that looks really great.

Notice that after you calculate, he automatically has it sort in order of DPS. Nice touch. If you don't mind, I'll throw this into the Linked Pistoleer threads later.

this is a really great tool

i noticed one teeny problem though.... unless you write in a resist over 0, it assumes vulnerable i guess?
some targets have armor and just simply no extra resist (i've actually fought a target with no protection but AR1)

although it REALLY doesn't matter cause most mobs you'd find would actually have resists or vulnerable to everything

again, great job!

Ahh I haven't run into any of those guys, it does assume vulnerable at 0% resist. Think I should add an option to include vulnerable? It does matter when doing the end-damage calc. Vulnerable negates both the target's AR and your AP.

Great tool! I like the way it arranges it by DPS.

Could you perhaps make the health-only attacks in red font, so you can quickly scan the list for the highest health-only DPS?

Just a thought. Good job on it, again.

Just added red for health and blue for mind ... would be green too if there was anything for action. *chuckle*

good system but the way it is displayed on my screen appears a little odd...

verticle blue lines through the middle or words, some areas are crunched togeather, and some wortd display across the tops of others.

I don't know if this is a personaly display error or somthing that is just there.

Outside that good work.

You might just be at a lower screen resolution than I designed it at ... maybe I'll strike the 3rd weapon column.
