The developers came through for us.If you see these patch notes tomorrow, do not be alarmed. They are false.
Changed to hit calculations:
- Defenders can no longer get into a state where they are impossible to hit. There will always be a chance to hit a target.
- Additionally. Attackers can no longer get into a state where they never miss. There will always be a chance to miss a target.
- Note: this change effects both Player and NPC alike.
Thunderheart assures us that the changes were pulled at the last minute, but there may not have been time to change the update notes. I am certain we will see something similar at a later date, but it should be much more workable.

Yay!!! Randonb!!! You saved us from being even more pathetically useless in PvP than we already are!!!!
I like the mechanic of always having a chance to hit a defender... seems Jedi testing isn't without it's nice rewards
(Assuming one always has a chance to hit a Jedi)

The timer is still in. It's working as intended or close enough to it andthe accuracy changes were not, we can assume. The weapon timers aren't a significant nerf to professions such as ours, but they hurt multi-weapon professions such as BH and cross-combat profession dabblers.
If you are saying "they nerf me, I switch pistols midcombat to take advantage of speed or damage depending on the special and stack lots of DOTs," well yes, you are a target of this nerf and it is working as intended, I'm sorry to say.
Tanks fought it valiantly, and will be doing his own reporting on the subject. They should have diminished dependency on mid-combat weapon switching after the CB.
I think we should all celebrate. I was getting very, very worried that this accuracy business was going Live. The date was drawing nearer, and I hadn't heard anything. The only reason the SWG community as a whole wasn't up in arms is because they didn't know it was going on. To my knowledge, they had only the In Development thread and my tests to go off of. We really dodged a bullet (no pun intended). I know we like to wallow in negativity a lot on these boards, but let it not be said that we have never been listened to.Lets try not to make ourselves miserable searching for the downside to all of this, just for a little while. It'll be like practice for when they allocate some development resources to fixing us.
If you read the notes, this wasn't supposed to be a nerf (except maybe for the perfect accuracy professions). It was just bugged and they didn't have time to fix it.
EDIT: minor typo

Heh yes as a Bounty Hunter I am quite used to the Combat Rebalance
I read Tanks posting along with his response to the timer. I was hoping somehow someone upstairs had actually listened. ahh well. Thank you for the information.

someone suggested having a skill at master brawler and master marksman to remove the weapon switch timers
this would fix things i think for BH's and Commando's specifically
it would also give a good reason to master marksman or brawler instead of just some extra specials or something

I agree it's not a "nerf" for pistoleer, but in the future, this delay could be longer or shorter depending on the weapon used: it's quicker to switch from one pistol to the other rather than than switching between 2 rifles. Don't you think ?

How long is the timer delay between swiching weapons?
While this could be good for the DoT stackers, I don't really feel that this is good for those who aren't, the major thinking that is involved in PvP today is recognizing your opponents abilities/equipment. If you see they have stun armor/wookiee armor/close range/long range there are different pistols for each job.
