Thread: The accuracy changes have been pulled, for now

Thanks Randonb, good to hear it from you. But did other parts go in? Can we ask why they feel it's good to put in "part" of the CB? Concidering they were going to do it in 4 phases, but realized that that would nerf us all until the whole thing was in. But now, they are "leaking" parts of it into the live game. And considering a lot of it seems to be because of one profession revamp (jedi) it kind of tells us where SOE loyalties lie.


Don't get me wrong, the jedi system and prof needed a revamp. But I think it would have been better to push it live at or closer to the whole CB. The devs FULL attention seems to be on jedi, one single profession out of what 33. That is very biased. I really don't blame professions like the BH (devs claim to be the anti-jedi) flaming and irate about the recent changes.

If you are saying "they nerf me, I switch pistols midcombat to take advantage of speed or damage depending on the special and stack lots of DOTs," well yes, you are a target of this nerf and it is working as intended, I'm sorry to say.


Tanks fought it valiantly, and will be doing his own reporting on the subject. They should have diminished dependency on mid-combat weapon switching after the CB.

You're entiretly missing the boat on this one. Please give Tanks a hand in this fight.


Only a pve nub uses one weapon! This is a HUGE nerf, and it is your responsability to fight it!


For those of you that don't get it, a master rifleman can shoot you once per second with master headshot. It seems you fail to realize that mind targeting with ap3 and weapons twice as powerful but just as fast = dead pistoleer.


Your only survival depends on your ability to change your weapons quickly.


So please rethink your priorities here or ask Tanks to pull double duty and represent the pistoleer community as well.

Randomb is excellent at maintaining the communication lines between us, him and the devs as well as fighting for our "cause" and helping to prevent disasters like the accuracy changes that almost went live. Keep up the good work Rb.

Phew!!! I just ground out all of PIstoleer and Smugglerjust now cos I thought it would suddenly become very slow to level up. Ground out Pistoleer Sunday and Smuggler Monday night till now (8 am in the UK). I was gonna stay up to grind Marksman too but I can sleep now instead.


GOD I HATE APPRENTICE XP!!!! and Sliceing I spent about 3 hours grinding 300 oddSurvival Knives -_- and it cost me all the money I earnt from grinding Pistoleer and the Smuggler Pistol XP trees about 250,000 credits. Sorry gone off topic '^_^

I've played my BH toon on Ahazi and can confirm that the randomization of hits and misses is not in. I am 0-4-4-4 in BH and 0-1-0-3 in carbineer and rarely missed with any weapon I used while taking on BH mission NPCs.


The weapon switch timer is 5 seconds for changing weapons in combat and is very annoying. The timer also applies to equiping armor, one piece every 5 seconds.

Hopefully in the future they will make it so that pistoleers can switch weapons faster then let say rifles but I don't think it's too bad how it is now. The timer makes it so that people actually put some thought into what weapon or armor they have equipped before they get into a fight. If you have a stun helm on and your opponent notices that his stun rifle isn't doing as much damage as it should be it prevents him from easily switching to his t21 and taking advantage of your lower resists. Or it could work in reverse for someone with stun armor going into pvp against people who don't do stun. While it does have a few setbacks this new patch will call for people to put some thought into preparation, not to mention it's a bit unrealistic (even in star wars) for someone to change a full suit of armor or a weapon instantly.
