Big thanks to Jaegen88 for compiling these issues. Here are the designers’ responses to the top 5 issues (optional 6th is the Correspondent’s pet issue). We have 32 professions to get through so we apologize for the brevity of the answers.

1) Special Moves – Disarming shot 1, multi target pistol shot, pistol accuracy cap, dodge, and pistol melee defense 2 don’t seem to be working properly.

These should be fixed. We’ll change disarming shot to only damage the weapon rather than the target.

2) Holsters – Pistols should be able to be put in Holsters when not in combat.

This is an extremely difficult change. We’ll look into adding it down the road.

3) Bounty Hunter VS Pistoleer – Pistoleers feel they should be more comparable to Bounty Hunters in PvP.

Each class is different so we can’t really make class comparisons.

4) Gun Twirl Special Move – Pistoleers would like to have some sort of special move or flourish where they twirl their gun or something similar.

We like this idea a lot. This is something we’d really like to start adding.

5) Certifications – Need more certifications in pistoleer skill tree. There are plenty for marksman, but only one in Pistoleer.

We’re planning to add more weapons, and that should fix this problem.

6) Duel Wield – Players would like to be able to duel wield pistols.

This is a great idea. We might be able to do something down the road.

More weapons? Great!!

Duel wield should have a massive accuracy penalty though...

well it could be implemented in skill advancement too... such as stances and grips.. once on makes pistoleer master there really should be no negatives but no real bonuses to those who choose to weild 2 guns rather than one

Dual weilding shouldn'y have any penalties. It should be a skill gained when you reach Master Pistoleer.

That's the most positive Dev feedback I've seen on all the correspondent threads so far, so things are looking good for Pistoleers!

However, the Bounty Huntervs. Pistoleer concerns seem to have been ignored. That's a pity. I was hoping that threads dealing with that issue would die off soon, but based on that report, it seems unlikely...

Anyway, I nominate Jaegen88 for a second term as PistoleerCorrespondent. No other correspondent I've folllowedhas worked as hard to test things out and post their findings on this forum. Go Jaegen88!

Ugh... number 3 has nothing to do with BHs or PvP. It has to do with every profession getting to master something, and for pistoleers that oughta be the Pistol. Its wording wasn't great back in our first weeks list, so I guess we need to distill the essence on that one and try again.

Our second week list was a gem, and should get less of a brushoff that this one.

They would be best off doing the old school D&D thing for dual wielding, like 10% for the main hand and 30% for the off hand, mebbe a bit more, keep damage the same, and it should work out.

Dual wield would be interesting. I think it should have some sort of penalty associated with it, otherwise you've effectively DOUBLED the Pistoleer's damage output. Think of it realistically...a guy with a handgun is going to be more accurate than a guy using two handguns if they're at the same level of skill. Its just harder to keep two guns going on the same target unless you're tremendously ambidexterous. Its a good idea indeed, but be careful how you implement it.

Double the damage at no cost... I think not. I like the idea but balance is required so.

I had the idea that dual wielding should reduce the damage of each weapon by 25%, increase the HAM cost of specials by 75%, and reduce overall accuracy by 25%

The result would be a 150% increase in total damage potential, but at significantly higher HAM costs and fewer overall hits. Although my numbers might need tweaking a bit it would still give us a nice perk but it certainly wouldn't be overpowering. Having two pistols with no downside what-so-ever would definitely be just too much.

Yeah, but just think of Multitargetshot while dual-wielding. Hmmmmm....

Sweet, can't wait for the eye candy, how cool will it at the end of a duel you win, to twirl your pistols before putting them back in there Holsters.
