Thread: Republic Blaster!!!
thats what I wanna know
my brother and my friend both have it....and I dont....and my char got the same basic skills as them.....
only thing thats different is they are both human.....hoping thats not the issue though.
Can you guys test this out and report to me ASAP. If it's working, I need to getan answer from the Devs about how you get the certification, because some people have it and others don't and none of us no why. Unless there's a good reason for why you do/don't have that cert, I'm going to recommend that it should be placed in the Pistoleer tree.

The patch notes seem to be wrong -- the Republic Blaster is still not working as of the 11/13 patch. This was the first thing I tried when I logged -- equipping it still gives the "do not have the skills" message, and it still does reduced damage. I do have the cert listed in my cert box.
On the bright side, Fan Shot wasn't nerfed.

Roger that. I'll post about iton Correspondent Forum today. The Marksman Correspondent has also worked on this issue and I'll see if I can get a hold of him on AIM to post as well.

Great news for us.I have +5000 Naboo Security Forces faction; doesn't help. I tried blasting a few Trade Federation guys to see if that might "trigger" anything, but no.
I am, however, covert Imperial, so if Rebel faction have anything to do with this, then I am out of luck.
So you guys know, I just made a post about this on Correspondent Forums. I told them it still wasn't fixed, asked them to tell us HOW you get the darn certification, and asked them to change the certification so it's on the Pistoleer tree given that it's often better than the pistol we already have (DX2).
I also posted, again,about getting Correspondent access on TC.
I'm busy at work today and these forums are insanely slow, but keep posting any issues with the new patch and I'll pass them along.

Yep, I just posted about it on Correspondent Forums and some other Correspondent who is a Rodian says he has the cert. I still haven't figured out how you get the cert, and I asked them to tell me that andthen toput it on the Pistoleer tree, since it's better than the pistol we already have.
By the way, I got an answer from the Devs on getting TC access for me-- they said they'll get to it after the patch and some other things they're working on have blown over. *shrug* No answer on the Republic Blaster, at least not yet, but I'll give you guys the heads up when/if I do.

My girlfriend is a Twi'lek, and she was basically born with the certification. As soon as she created her character (recently, started as Marksman) she already had it (still gets the message saying she didn't have the skills to use it). I have been Master Pistoleer for months and never got the certification... I'm Zabrak. I think it's more about timing of character creation somehow? Not sure. I mean, if they do stick the certification in Pistoleer, will that automatically qualify me for it? It seems that I may need to re-learn wherever they put the cert, to trigger it. That would suck but just a theory, lol.
Another question I have is this... did they say anything about fixing it for the people on Test Center, so that it could be tested? I hadn't heard anything about it.
