What would be the best possible pistoleer in the game? What Raze, what jobs...


I think this would be ...


Radian +10 One hand weapon


Master Marksman, Master Pistoleer, Master Bounti Hunter, and the rest of the points inSmuggler Pistol Column


Having this combination will lead you to the MaximumPower as aPistoleer.


Any other suggestions?


(maybe if we could add "force" to our pistoleer skills thigs would get more interesting)

Remember: to get into the smuggler profession you needUnarmed 4 from the brawler profession - that would eat up another 30 Skillpoints... Or is this also a requirement for the Bounty Hunter? Not sure about that.

You still need master marksman to do what your suggesting.

As mentioned above, you can go with Master Pistoleer, the BH pistols line, the Dirty Fighting line and novice commando for all the pistol certs and mods you'll ever need.


But an MBH/M pistoleer can never pick up the DF line.

The ultimate pistoleer is in my opinion the one that has already been mentioned, Master Pistoleer, BH 0/0/4/0, Smuggler 0/0/4/0 and novice Commando.


I have an alt named Hauke that has this template and I am pretty happy with him. Last ditch at the speed cap is just awesome, add the launcher pistol against a turret and you will drop those pretty quickly (or an ATST for you rebels). Feign death is a great skill, plus you throw in a stun weapon and the ability to target the mind and you can dabble in major PvP.


In an unarmored duel (where weapon AP does not count) you can out DPS a Master Rifleman (not one who is speed capped or has Mastered Marksman also) and of course a Carbines Master.


Against a rifleman in combat stay as close as possible. Use your knockdowns, put him on follow, if he gets too far away land your delay shot and catch up. Against a Melee fighter you have okay defenses and can kite as well as other melee professions because pistoleers have the best attack mods when moving.


With a good geo pistol you can out dps a fencer with stun damage plus you can target the mind or set them on fire and let them worry about a burn.


In short, pistoleer itself is not a great profession but combine it with the ideal pistoleer template and you are pretty nice. It does lack medium or heavy armor piercing which limits usefulness in high end PvE, but using fiegn death can help keep you safe when you bite off more than you can chew.

Had this template with sliceing 1 for bases, loved it was fun as hell. Great for PvP and PvE. Think I might go back to it, I miss my Scatters and LP

The rodian accuracy bonus with 1h weapons only applies to Fencer weapons.


The action stat bonuses still make them great Pistoleers, though.

i have desperado, trickshot, Rogue, with FS Ranges speed, wokring on acccuracy, its pretty uber. Imay throw in tka to powerboost as well. Thats the awesom pistols tempalte, not overly defensive, but quick and dfeadly with eyeshot torso and last ditch, of course never underestimate panic shot, n fact, there are no piostoleer specials worth using, all u get form psitoleer is some speed adn accuracy. and soem defenses.

On Test Center I play a pistoleer that is 0144 Pistoleer, 0040 BH, 0040 Smuggler, and 0040 commando. Sure I don't have as much accuracy and I can't use a DE-10, but I can make up the accuracy and dodge in tapes easy (since it is only 1k per point on test center for skill tapes). This gives me flame 4 so I can kill the big stuff a bit easier.

Edit: Oh yea, I have novice medic too.
