Thread: Why are Pistoleers being called whining babies???

Something happened to me yesterday that almost made go to an SWG players house andshoot him, really shoot him. I was just running some Rancor missions on Dathomir gettin a good 40k per mission, when I decided to take a brake. Idrove into the OutPost to take myfive minutes when I noticed there was aheated disussiongoing on between six individuals, two MasterRiflemen, oneMasterCarbiner,two TKM, and one of the my least favoriteentities in this game...... a newly unlocked Jedi Padwan brandishing his newly aquired

Looks like your post got cut off there, but I'll still answer your question in the subject.
Because we all love this game and get upset when we feel we've gotten a raw deal. Inevitably, someone will see people getting upset and call them "whining babies". Funny thing is, these same people have probably grumbled and complained about something else just as much. Ignore those people. If we don't speak up about what we don't like, nothing changes.

So while im sitting their helmet off, healing my mind I was watching them, they were joking around about which of their Professions is the coolest. I was amused by this conversation, the Riflemen where exclaming how they "could take down a Rancor with 1 shot from space", the carbineer saying "well ill just open up with Full Auto on all of you guys", the TKM's amazingly had nothing to say except laugh, but then the dumb Padawan had to open his mouth. Immedeately the Padawan started with "well come on guys I am a Jedi... The coolest thing you can possibly be!! Just look how awseome my Lightsaber is", this made me sick to my stomache, then to top it off the Jedi sais "God im sick and tired of people always complaining about their dumb Prof's like those Dancer's and PISTOLEERS, geez what do THEY have to complain about". God I jumped up so quickly and I got in his face, I wailed on him and made him feel like a noob, but in the end of my verbal attack on him as he was leaving all he could still say was, "still man pistoleers suck, just get a new Prof and stop complaining"
This made me furious.... getting insulted by a Padawan saying that us Pistoleers get everything we want and just now Jedi's get something.
What do YOU have to say about this?? write me back.

Concider the source, Rifleman and TKA are the two most overpowered professions in the game. The people who play these professions know this, its why they play them, they want/need an unfair advantage. It makes them feel powerfull. They want to convince themselves that the reason their character is more powerfull then a pistoleer is because they are a better gamer. Its easier for them to say pistoleers are whiners, because its hard for these people to admit that only the skewed ballance of this gameis what makes them more powerfull. Do you really believe that if Rifleman and TKA gets a major nerf in the next publish that these players will simply take it in stride.
Do a little test, write down their names, check on them after the combat reballance, what ever profession comes out on top of the pecking order after the publish is where you will find all these folk flocking, to feel "powerfull".
I play this game because I like it, I play a pistoleer because I like the profession, I do however have hope that those in charge will trully ballance the professions.Its way past due.

No one has cried more than Jedi or wanna be Jedi. Hence the introduction of holocrons and the mad grinding that has plagued this game for the last 6 months. "I wanna be Jedi?" "Why can't I be Jedi too?" Blah blah blah blah blah.
Pistoleers are here 'cause the want to be. Asking someone to fix your broken car wouldn't be whining, and neither is it to ask to fix something that is broken in a game. None of us have said, I want to be as powerful as them, etc. We just want to fill our niche in the combat aspect of the game with some specials that work. Most of us could live without a new AP gun or a cold gun or whatever. We just want our specials to do what they say they do, which seems like a very small request.

that's why whenever i see a jedi saying "im so cool, im soo hawt with my lightsaber, im almsot as cool as luke skywalker, im cooler than you" i reply with a...

Typical leet attitude, probably from someone who got to be a Jedi from AFK macroing every profession possible. As we know all too well, there are a few professions in this game that have been almosttotally ignored by the developers since day 1. Pistoleers are one of them, and dancers and musicians are another - and I'm sure there are others. Even when these professions have received some attention, it's always been what the developers wanted to give, instead of what the professions had been asking for.
The good thing is that the leet attitude of "I've got mine, screw everyone else" is about to bite them in the butt. Leets have spent the last 12 months showing an incredible level ofdisrespect towards virtually everyone else in the game. Now finally the chickens are going to come home to roost, as they say. The developers have seen fit to bring Jedi knights into a Star Wars time period where they simply don't belong. Also, leets naturally gravitate towards Jedi because they have a desperate need to 'pwn' (that as well as the fact that they perhaps desire a lightsaber to make up for perceivedinadequacies elsewhere, LOL). Now the people who have respect for the Star Wars canon - and trust me there are a bunch of us - are making it plain on the servers that Jedi just aren't welcome or appreciated. Thedisdain that the Star Wars fans are showingforJedi leets couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.

Overpowered or just working? Both Rifle and TKA are professions that are working with only some minor issues. Most if not all their specials work, etc. That is not the case of many professions, Pistoleer included. You can't compare something that is working with something that is not and then say those that work should be on the same level as those that don't.
If that happens you have all the professions at a broken level and no real reason fix them since that would upset the 'balance'.
I'm with you on Jedi. When I started this game I, like most, was interested in unlocking. But once I saw how you unlocked, the Holocrons coming in, and the two Jedi publishes going in before other professions that have been around since launch. I've really built up some ill will towards them. It's not really their fault as a poor sense of proportions. Fix the original professions before fixing the new 'glow rod' one.
The next question is why if the answer to almost all the questions by the combat professions is 'wait for the combat rebalance' that the Jedi were the exception to this.

Try being a Master Pistoleer and MasterEntertainer with a bit of ID and Musicianthrown in. You cannot do any quests, you're hated by all theleets (who are the ones that need your services most), and if you try to make anymoney you get told you're gouging.
