I really do not care about what the Pistoleer corr does, because I really do not care about pistoleer... The only reason I am one is because the CU forced me to take it up in order to master an elite combat w/ Combat Medic. I would much rather be using carbines or *gasp* rifles, but whatever.
I do not have the skill points to continue my current playstyle while losing 14 points to the pistol tree in marksman, so I am just here to try and give my opinion. Seeing how I will be using the CM pistol, I really do not care (but I would love to have the SL or one of the smuggler pistols b/c they look cool).
what else do you have that you don't have the skill points for? You'll have 38 points left over if you master both CM and Rifles. What else is in your playstyle that you need 52 points for, instead of 38 points?
Medical crafting moved. Now to make more basic components I have to realocate skill points. As it is I need 261 points to do what I can do right now and have leftover points . Plus, I have FS boxes that take away from my skill point pool as well. That means I have to sacrifice my medical crafting ability in order to continue my play style, AND i do not know if I want to drop master medic, since keeping it makes healing power increase.Of course, it comes down to what you think you'll enjoy the most. If you think you'd like rifles more than pistols, I'd suggest going master rifles, master CM and 0440 medic, giving 24 points left over for FS skills (or even mastering marksman for some extra general accuracy and 4 points left for FS skills.)
I'd suggest finding a bio-E on your server and developing a relationship with them on getting your med supplies. I was a master ranger last year, and I basically "worked" for just one armorsmith, gathering wooly hides for his composite armor business. The supplier/customer relationship we had was a lot of fun. I'm sure you can find a bio-e willing to work for you, and you can save the skill points from crafting your own supplies. Not to mention not having to worry about collecting the resources to do the crafting.
Again, just go the route you think is most fun, not necessarily the one that is the most uber.
(remember, this is coming from someone that doesn't really mind having lots of skill points locked up in professions that have nothing to do with combat, so I'm biased!)
Yeah, I guess... I just hate having spent so much on my doctor/CM stuff... I hate just giving it up...
I saw in a Dev Post in the CM forums, he said they've changed the prereq to RS4 instead of Pistols 4. So now it will take you the same amount of SP for any ranged prof.

Too bad I already dropped rifleman and picked up pistoleer... Guess I will wait for the respec since I do not want to grind anymore.
