This skill alows you to deconstruct several simliar pistols into their basic parts, such as barrel, trigger, sights, magazine/ battery, etc. You can then take the diffrent parts as each will carry over some percentage of damage accuracy speed etc from the original, and combine them into a new weapon. For example take a high damage dl 44 xt magizine and combine it with the barrel of a death hand ( I think the death hand is the one with long range) so you would end up with a pistol with slighty les damage but greatly increased range.Perhaps You have to give the final design to a weapon smith to complete the assymbly so as not to make them feel left out. This could also open up some quest content, For example your told of a person whos family has an heirloom from many centuries ago. A broken weapon that an ancestor carried in a forgoton war. You procure (how you mange that part Ill leave between you and whatever gods you chose)that weapon and can take it apart. The whole weapon may not work but you do happen to be able to take a special lens from it that just happens to fit in modern energy based pistols. putting that lens into a pistol design might give the pistol more damage or perhaps a greater percentage of effect sticking.
course this concept would be open to all ranged profesions. and the resulting wepon should be bio bound.do that and make the apperance reflect the splicing of weapons and id almost be happy.Oh did I mention Dual wield?
Reverse Engineering for pistols? Yes sir, I like it.

maybe like pilot every prof should have quest as u go threw it one to get the novice box one half way threw and a quest that gets u the master box. also something to use our extra xp for rather than fs. and kind like a thing that happens over time u get a quest and u get mods u can chose from a list of exsisting mod types u get in our prof and u complete and get the mods. than there is a timer 2-4 weeks do another quest and u get more mods. once u drop the master box u lose all mods and would have to start over all again to get them back. also for the pvpers tehy could convert there pvp rating into these points also.
Too drunk to read that, please fashion sentances.
End game Ideas...well...let's see here. I like some of what has been posted here. I think profession specific Themeparks are the way to go. Perhaps have an "old man" type visit from an NPC after completeing Master Pistoleer. The NPC could be a Grand Master Pistoleer who has heard of your reputation and wishes to pass on his skills. It could be quest oriented and rewards could be given for completion of the quests (including various holsters, new master pistoleer certed pistols schematics, pistoleer modded gear, etc...) The player would be able to unlock a Grand Master Branch for pistoleer which, when completed, would add on to their existing skills (pistols accy, speed, defense mods...as well as new special attacks).
I see a lot of posts stating that dual wield should be the "ultimate" endgame idea. I would love to have this in-game, it could be a speical ability granted with completion of the Grand Master tier.
Mix combat with content to make the quests engaging, not just a means to an end grind (/yawn). How about a Seven Samurai type mission with 6 other NPC combat profs where your toon is recuited by NPC townsfolk to help ward off high CL bandits. The storyline can change depending on the results of the quest and different items can become available pending on which way the storyline goes.
There are a lot of good ideas in this thread and Pistoleer definately has THE best correspondent in Badger. Hopefully somewhere down the line, we will see some of these concepts come to fruition. As it is, attaining jedi should not be the be-all-end-all for players in this game. Let's see some expanded content for existing professions. Star wars is many things...let's start to see some content geared for mainstream professions.

well I am all for weilding two pistols and being able to deal out more damage while holding firing themboth at once, also having holsters to put them in would be nice, that would be nice right now for one pistol. Also being able to extend the range of our attacks from 35m to maybe 45m. Specail pistol based quests would also be. nice to get uber pistols such as Jango Fett style pistols as a duel wielding reward. I also think it would be nice to have a pistoleer type of armor that only pistollers canuse or wear, the same for carbines and rifles as well to make that class have something different from one another, so what I mean is this, have a certain type of armor that u can only wear as a pistoleer.
