Thread: Which do we want??? Have to act fast!!
Jaegen and Philosopher,
Please keep in mind that quite a few of us pistoleers are casual players. I cant play 3-4 hours a days and all weekend every weekend!
I would very much look forward to redistributing the pistol speed mods so I can have a more fullfilling gaming experience. It will take me months to reach master pistoleer and I really dont want to have to wait months before I get a taste of the better speeds and hopefully better specials in the profession.
I agree a master pistoleer shoud be the fastest ranged weapons user with deadly TARGETED HAM specials (like a BS3 AOE DOT) in the upper levels. But give us guys who cant level as fast some lovin!
Lets see aDoube Tap that really kicks some a s s with a DS1 with an intimidate affect for us low level guys!

Mourfeous, I agree with you 100%. I think we need to add Intimidate to Disarm1 and make Double Tap an area of effect BodyShot2, in my opinion.
It is definitely important to make sure that non-Masters see some real improvements, because most Pistoleers aren't Masters! We need to ask them for changes throughout the tree and not just at the top.
The only real problem with the 32m 10 target multishot is what the system deems as ENEMY.
Having 5000 CorSec faction I still sometimes accidentally target them when they are mixed into a group of Thugs. If we could be assured that the system will be able to recognize out faction standing with respect to what or who is an enemy then this sounds like a good idea.
I also propose that we make MultiShot have a base number of damage modified by weapon damage that is evenly distributed across all targets that are currently attacking. That means that fewer targets would result in more damage per target. Makes it so that at 3 targets the shot is very powerful but at 10 targets it is enought to sting them, thus keeping it form being too powerful overall and getting beat down with the nerf bat later. Just an idea.

No they don't address BS3 ... Holo says that it is "better" by giving us the damage modifier, then when we respond to explain why it isn't, they don't include that in the list of improvements.
Philo,
Here's why I'm hoping he didn't address it:
Hesort of eluded to the fact that Jaegen's metrics made him realize some overall flaws to how they were tracking theirs. Particularly in regards to what made specials good and that it wasn't all about 1x, 2x, 3x to damage... It also seemed to me that he didn't like the fact that they were missing something. I bet he scrambled to verify Jaegens claims using Jaegens metrics, then tweaked somethings to see what would happen and just wasn't ready to say anything as difinitive as what they posted until he fiddled with the stuff more.
Bottom line is all they need to do is reduce the delay on BS3 and it's 'fixed' right? But we can assume that depending on how much or how little that's changed, BS3 could be only marginally better or pretty darn powerful. Maybe they'll find the sweetspot and then give us the feedback?
Here's to hoping! ![]()
And Jaegen, I'm super glad you made this post because when I read the feedback I had to admit that I was at a loss to say if I should be happy or sad with the feedback and the questions thrown back at us...
I'm not that far up the tree so I can't test a lot of things to form my own opinion. Makes me super glad that people likeJaegen & Philosopher put so much analytical thought into their approach to making this proffesion viable. Thanks guys!
