I am so glad there's people able to tell them that making nuking the only viable way of tackling high level content is not an enhancement norit does not make the game more difficult, it just makes people more likely to go rifleman. Again.

Very true.
My character cannot solo many high end mobs like Gorax, etc. because I cannot keep them from retreating and healing up so I depend on groups for this.
Keep them within 120m of their spawn point and maintain damage output on them, this stops the level of hate you generate from falling to a level where retreat is triggered.
I know that other templates can but the point is I am willing to accept the fact that I cannot since I really wish to play a Master Pistols/Commando character. My choice. I am not willing to accept that no template is able to solo these things ever. Just not cool.
That particular template is very group orientated, so you may find soloing tough.

Yup, this would have effected Jedi roots and snares too.

To thoose who like to blame Jedi for this (like usual)...
Enhancer's are effected by this as well, and it's not like they have much more purpose in combat than rooting stuff right now.
I am still trying to figure out why anyone want to go Master Defender, Master Enhancer or Master Healer now.
In ToOW, Heals have actioncost added, saberattacks have mindcost added, forcerun is now cancelled by snare, avoidincap cannot be used for tanking anymore (a nerf that effects everybody but the Defender herself, especially doctors/healers/combatmedics who draw all the aggro).
So if you want to find a scapegoat, blame someone else.
My guess this have alot to do with Combat Medics running around and solo stuff all over the place. They just nerfed the wrong state, making ROOT redundant for pve, while boosting SNARE even more.

wow **edit** did they ever think about ppl like RANGERS who pretty much NEED this to stay alive in the game even when fighting non-elite lvl 80 mobs?
also i think theyre just trying to force ppl into carbineer with making ranger have carbs as a prereq and making stuff immune to snare/root cuz riflemen have knee cap shot so it would be pretty much useless to rangers if they were fighting elite mobs.....
