what exactly does 0-1-3-1 in BH give you and why do I suspect you are a 1337 d00d yourself? (I know the answer but I'd love to hear your explanation.)

I thought his post was fine, and was very intelligent.

If a Master Pistoleer spent no other skill points on anything else, he should be beaten by a Master BH without a doubt -- although the BH should have to use more than just a pistol to do it. If BH is balanced right, all three weapons should be used to beat the Pistoleer -- which would be cool because then the BH would become a balanced killing machine.

The real problem NOW is that someone could be a Master Pistoleer AND a Master Carbineer AND a Master Medic and get beaten by a 0-4-4-0 BH with Novice Medic. Sad, but definitely true. That is the way the cookie crumbles I guess, but over time it's going to need to balance out because if there isn't a 250-point template that can compete with a non-BH or Commando template, then we won't see anyone but newbs in the other professions.

Explain to me why, a Master Bounty Hunter should be able to beat a Master Pistoleer one on one with a PISTOL. Explain this to me. Because in reality, when you use a pistol, you are NOT, I repeat, you are NOT a master BH. You are a BH of 0-0-4-0, which is the only tree in your skill that deals with Pistol's in specific While the ENTIRE tree of Pistoleer deals with pistol's in specific, 4-4-4-4. The ONLY way a Master Bounty Hunter should be able to beat a Master Pistoleer is if he uses the weapons that are given to him. And for those of you that DO NOT know how to be a bounty hunter, I'll explain

BH against a Pistoleer.

Pull out Rifle, mind shot, when Pistoleer runs up, switch to carbine, KD, run away, switch to rifle, mind shot, when pistoleer isalmost dead and if Pistoleer is closing in, then switch to pistol and eyeshot the remainder of his mind.

Only problem is you wannabee's are so **edit** **edit**ing lazy that you don't want to do this, you just want to whip out your pistol and do everything with it and still win, SORRY, but that's not the way it works. And if I remember the movie correctly, Boba fett or whatever he's called was holding a carbine in his hands when Lea (disguised) pulled out the dethonator at Jaba's palace. So BH are not Master's with the pistol's, expert's maybe, but not master's, we are, so once again, how do you figure you can beat us one on one with a pistol? If you ask me, I think you got some of that LLC Godcomplex in you as well! Perhaps you should go back to your forum and preach about that false prophacy elsewhere.

This is fine. No one has any problems with master bounty hunters killing master pistoleers. The problem everyone has is that an Expert Bounty Hunter (Bounty Hunter Pistol IV) can beat a Master Pistoleer with ease using only a pistol. You are quite free to use the variety of weapons you have expertise in to kill a pistoleer. No one will cry about that. It's when you use a weapon we specialize in completely to dominate is when the disparity arises.

Me personally, I'm not particularly attached to the pistoleer class. I'm only using it to get combat bonuses to augment my smuggling skills -- the class I really enjoy playing.

I can understand what your saying, but when you have a person, who is trying to solo a 8K to 9.5K mob, he's been at it for a minute and a half because of all the misses and dodges from the animal (how do they dodge a laser blast????) then you have this BH walk up, and take a 5k shot and finish off your mob. Then you ignore it, don't say a word, and continue with your next mob, 9.3k mob, laydown, bleed 2, bleed 1, bleed 2 again since the first one missed, BS 2, BS 2, BS 2, Kipup shot, KD, KD since it missed, KD since it was resisted, KD (finally, but get's up in two seconds), snare trap. Then you see on the text window, "LOL, you suck like a B****! followed by another shot for 9K, finishing off the mob. You ignore it again, to not start anything, use my normal procedure, and then before I use my kipupshot I see a shot, not from me, for about 120 then another for 11k range. Tell me, is this balanced to you? is this fair that you have jerks running around doing this with their overpowered, Godcomplexed weapons? The only thing left for me to do is go off and check my harvesters and log for the night to get away from him.

I haven't hunted again till the other night, actually, I think it was the night before that, I tried my usual, bleed 2, bleed 1, both missed, tried again, bleed 2 missed, then bleed 1 took, Already I started off missing like mad. Stand up cause he turned at me, try running, I dodge, a miracle, but my character STOPED in order to dodge, mob caught up to me, KDed me, and DBed me. Well, I can see where it's balanced, I'm balanced very well with a gnort. As long as the Godcomplex weapon is there, and these scumbags continue to abuse it, it's considered being overpowered and should be dealt with. There are one shot kills going on in PvP from BH and Commando's, don't say no. And you do know very well that the 75% reduction was in place to end this. So don't lie and say it's the way it should be. You all know it's Overpowered. If these two class's were to be the best in PvP, then why the hell would they have wasted their time with all these other class's? Stop and think about it. While your complaining about taking out a mark NPC with 9k ham, we're having trouble taking out an NPC (not animal) with 6k ham, something you consider easy. Then you have half of the BH community wanting everything that pistoleer's are suppose to have, but they want it working for them and not for us.

Sorry, but this subject has me really pissed off, all of their smack about balancing and being Equal and all they have managed to do is create two gods in this game, BH and Commando's. If SOE will please introduce the Miner profession back into the game so I can give up my pistoleer points for something that is worth going into, I'd appreciate it.

I am here posting on my own, don't attribute my comments to all Bounty Hunters. And I never came here to argue message board virtue, I came here to defend my profession. You started (and perpetuate) this, so live with the outcome of your actions.

You are taking a post from one person and spreading it like it is gospel. Wepps is not the "Official Bounty Hunter Correspondent" and god help us if he ever does become it. The path he wants to take BH's down isnot what most of us want.Most bounty hunters don't think we should have the best of every class and the worst of none. We just want a fighting chance.

I must admit, I find it funny that you chose to respond to my comments about you and not to the most important part of my posts. Let me repeat it for you:

A Master Pistoleer (with no other skills) should be beaten by a Master Bounty Hunter (with no other skills) in 1-on-1 combat. Every time. That is my job. To kill others.

You get defensive bonuses, we don't. We get bigger damage bonuses and can target any pool. Sounds fair to me. I understand that the mods don't work correctly yet, let's work with the devs to get them fixed. Once they are working then we can start to look more closely at how the classes should or shouldn't balance. Until that time it is a moot point.

Yes, you will see some BH's saying that we should be able to take out Jedis or we should have this skill or that skill. These are the 12 year old "1337 d00ds" that flock to every Flavor of the Day combat class. Ignore them. They are full of crap and most other BH's know this and agree.

Bolanos the obvious solution is to report that player for harassment.

if you wanna get extreme /addignore and find another planet to hunt.
