Ok while grinding my way to jedi I went through pistoler and despite the large shaft protruding out of my bumm while i was running around as a pistoler I came to love the class ..... As a pistoler I always got my bumm handed to me in pvp unless it was with a melee profession and then I just kited them .... Rifleman always seemed to tear me a new one and I can never seem to even hit them but the can chew through me in no time flat ........ I finished pistoler and smuggler a little while ago and I noticed one big thing ..... when I pvp'd with my character and he went bounty hunter I creamed a rifleman so fast even with my gimped defence. I immediatly thought it was bounty hunter so I wrote it off....... While reading the numbers I found out one IMPORTANT THING


++++PISTOL ACCURACY++++105 with master marksman and pistoler 60 with master marksman and 45 with master pistoler............... while on the other hand ......................



RIFLEMAN= RIFLE ACCURACY 180 **edit** is thisBS ........ 60 with master marksman and 110 with master rifleman ......................



anyone else see a problem with this????????????

Disarming shot 2 is used for Droids, Turrets and Lairs and does very well.

When will the FAQ 2.1 be updated again?







Probably after the "Combat Balancing", because anything else that needs to be changed will have to be changed again afterwards.

A section I wouldn't mind seeing is what to grind on.


I'm doing baz nitches on dath and mokk's on dant with my FWG5. Xp is going... slowly.

Get fanshot and a DX2. Janta's hate acid. You could always come over to the light side and kill STs.. They hate energy and stun!

I am on the light side.


Right now I'm 0/0/4/4 Pistoleer, complimented by 0/1/1/0 Smuggler. It seemed the best way to grind both profession was to go up Pistoleer for the speed and fan shot (along with the excellent defences), and then up smuggler for the added attacks.

so yeah i just read this and it should be take far away from the stickied portion of the forum. plain out this FAQ is outdated and is horrible right now. it may have been good way back when but not anymore. Healthshots arent stackable, healthshots do huge damage, bodyshots are the crappiest shots, use healthshot 2 until you get stopping shot and then use fanshot, disarming shot does do double damage but why use it? it takes away too much ham and isn't that much faster, um the DX2 is a great weapon...its acid...don't use guns for their damage take the time to look at what your target is vulnerable to...if it is vulnerable to acid then use it, look at range mods it very important cause if you are using a republic blaster you will have horrible accuracy cause all the range mods on teh rep blasters are horrible, just remember that pistoleers are the melee of ranged weapons most creatures don't have ranged attacks and are going to fight us at point blank...and running gives us crappy accuracy. the fwg5 my favorite weapon is no longer that good it was nerfed and it also has no armor piercing so only use it if something is weak against heat damage, the DX2 is a great weapon because of acid and armor piercing, the republic blaster especially the modified version is very powerful and armor piercing but it is slower than most guns, and right now our only real good gun besides the DE-10 is the Geo which is slow but has stun.

Hey, nice thread. I've decided to pick up Pistoleer, and this has helped!


Question: With the combat balanced being pushed back to who knows when, any thought on updating this? Have any of the "broken" specials been fixed yet? Is bleeding still stackable? FanShot still better than Bodyshot3?

Having just started progressing up the pistoleer tree after mastering Smuggler i look something like this on pistoleer 0 0 2 3. Its been helpful in knowing how to set up my stats and what specials to go for and how to use em
