Thread: What's wrong with DX2s?
Basically, it depends on how much trouble you're willing to go through to get a good one. I think i've met one person that has an ownage DX2 because he used high end tissue, blaster handles and got lucky enough to get a nice slice on it. It all just depends if you want to put forth the time, money, and effort for a DX2. I was working on getting one but insteadi used my tissues ona republic blaster and a scout blaster (btw my scout blaster owns any republic blaster aside from the armor piercing). It just depends really. Dx2's can be really good, but it just depends if you want a good one that bad. Personally,i say get Krayt Scout Blasters, those things take up like 1 to 2 tissues, (1 i think) and just own the republic blaster, at least mine did. Dx2's do have horrible aim, and they're just costly to make.

I find the same, Wild Bill. Using my DX2 in Composite, I feel like a Carbineer!
Scout and FWG5 don't do that.
Otherwise, the last time I checked, AP WAS working, even on unarmored...but it's been at least 1 publish since I checked. I used DX2 a lot on Yavin and Lok, but the Republic and the creature "balance" has diminished the need. There's just not that many armored PVE opponents anymore. Those that are can be dealt with safely at a distance with the Republic.
My FWG has gotten 2500 damage on a stopping shot, but DX2 rarely goes over 1500. As the elite pistoleer weapon, it leaves a lot to be desired. However, it is still an essential item that I carry everywhere. When you absolutely positively NEED acid damage, it can be a life saver.
2. My DX2 does a max of 53.
It's to the point of where every enemy rises an entire difficulty depending on which one I have out. Maybe I have a good FWG5 and a bad DX2. Who knows. I bought the DX2 off the bazaar for 500 creds.
Sorry man but those are both terrible guns.
I have a DX2 thats 128 -310 speed 2.2. I havent noticed a major issue with accuracy but I do tend to keep them in the 20 meter range.
FWG5s are good guns but unless you hae a prenerf one and they arnt going to last forever then a good DX2 is better then an FWG5 Now if you want really good accuracy the republic Blaster is the way to go.

Did they fix the fact that the AP characteristic of the DX2 is broken? As far as I know they haven't.
Yes. Example: Combat spam shows 220 Damage (the floating damage over the creatures head was much higher).
Against Ranged Mitagtion 3:
FWG5: 77-130(rounded up) before p-up; 89-172 after 16% min/32% max damage p-up
DX2: 105-131(rounded up); 122-173 after 16% min/32% max damage p-up
The speed difference means little at master, so looking at the stats the DX2 is better for damage because of the higher min. The max on those numbers are about the same. Inside a base(where most PvP takes place, in or around bases) DX2 all the way. Outside, probably my republic or my FWG5 because of damage. The DX2 isn't useless, maybe its not what we want, but its not useless. I also know most melee like to try and bring the enemies inside builings when the raid towns (like AH, when melee come in they always head into the tavern). The close range modifier helps us there too.
A DX2 is one of the four pistols on my toolbar.
I hardly ever use it, except when tough MOBs are vulnerable to acid.
I hate this pistol.
It looks dumb.
It sounds dumb. It sounds like some weird alien fart.
I would like to see this pistol replaced with a new type of gun. I hate the DX2.
For all of you who like it, good for you.
Again, I hate this gun.
I really hate this gun. Pistoleers get a bonus to accuracy while moving, but to get the best 'to-hit' roll with the DX2 you have to shove it in your enemies mouth.
I hate the DX2.
I also hate Jar Jar Binks. ![]()
