I'm not going to flat out scream that Pistoleers will be figuratively screwed, but crowd control does seem more like the Carbineer's bag to me...
We'll have to wait and see, I'm holding out hope on this one.

Tell ya what. You can just pass me your DE10 rather then destroy it I will keep it as a wall trophey.. yeah thats the ticket a wall trophey. I wont use it after CU i promise.

1 - these are concept documents
2 - looking at it now... pistoleer/desperado/rogue looks like a GODLY template again.

I personally like PIstoleer/MSL with a sprinkling of carbineer thrown in. but that's just me I guess.

I absoultley love this drivel!!! I mean come on, lets translate this post to this "I wont be able to solo most of this game anymore so I think pistoleer now SUCKS!!" Currently with my ADK 53% PSG and myADK 608 de-10 there is little in game I can not solo. Somehow I really doubt that was the intention at all when this game was designed. This thread is a symptom of many gamers I call UBERISM; I.E.If you cant be the best at everything then it sucks. Besides have YOU played with the new CU rules yet? NO so this should be taked at face value, which is little more than complaning about something of which you have absoultley NO CLUE.

Hey, i never said that melee (excluding jedi) should be doing more damage than a blaster.... i just wanted to point out that fencer and pikeman do exsist in the original films, if only because we see the weapons they use being held by characters in those films. I mean discounting pikeman because you didnt see anybody use a VL to kill somebody is like pretending Liea wasnt also wearing a full suit of Ubese.... It made an appeareance and is as such a cannon weapon, unlike the stupid powerhammer!
Also the emporors gaurds do use force pikes although we never see them rip a guy open with them (they also know echani combat forms, none of this TKM stuff) and those gammoreans that luke took out are also melee fighters (2 handed gammorean axe/LVA), so melee does exsist in starwars, its just a niche market rather than the normal- unlike the game currently.
Once the devs make melee a harder option for mass pvp, only effective by those who invest alot of time learning how to correctely use it in largescale pvp then things will be better. 90% of the galaxy really should be using blasters as primary offence with pure melee fighters being something rare to see, i mean having to get within a few meters of a guy is not the ideal way to kill him

If the update will really be in this way there should be some extra attributes for this profession. For example special attacks that hinder the opponent to hit for one turn may last two turns for the opponent. And this gives pistoleer a chance to decrease the HAM of the opponent with our low damage rate. This is only an example how it should be balanced. But of course it is good that grouping is getting important and it is being necessary. But this should be so for all of the professions, not only forpistoleer.
