Oh your probably right on the nerfing there wild bill, the devs love to swing the nerf bat anyway. I argue for the speed on behalf of the "vanilla pistoleer." Personally I'm firing last ditch nearly at cap but not everyone is going to have 15 million to pour into AAs as i was lucky enough for. Of course to me the biggest piece of the puzzle is the "vanila specials." We have no real state shots as a pistoleer. I think if they fixed just a few of the specials and maybe gave us at master an AP2 pistol that would go a long way in or effectivness despite the speed.Oh yeah and they need to work on the dodge its still buggy. I'm actually crossing my fingers for the duel wield maybe that will actually get into game. That would be very interesting. I just wonder though can I have a Geo in one hand and a DE-10 in the other....

A Master Rifleman /w Master Marksman is will kick arse and still have 110 sp left. Something needs to be done for Pistoleer so that we can be equal to some of our other elites with I don't think nerfing BH or Commando is the way to go but some of ideas seem good to me as it stands right now I have a gun and I have to run and dabble in BHto stay alive in pvpvs some guy with a hammersome thing is wrong with that. Stopping shot should do just that stop you for a time maybe10 sec like warcry1 or move it to Master Pistoleer and make it 20sec.

Ah here comes the Rifleman retort.

No there is something you don't understand. I have mastered and played every combat profession in this game, including Rifleman. I know what is broke and it's rifleman. You have high damage weapons with high AP therefore they should be slow. A swordsman without any additional mods and a damaged sliced Powerhammer does not attack once per second with the default attack and also hits the mind. Why should rifleman be any different? As a pistoleer I have a better chance of beating a swordsman than Rifleman even with the Swordsman's mind attacks. It's simple High Damage Low Speed, Low Damage High Speed, but you Riflemen want it all. You want damage, speed, accuracy and the ability to hit the unhealable pool. The fact that a rifleman can cap his speed with any rifle with less than +15 in speed mod attachments is another clue that your speed mods are out of whack. A smuggler/pistoleer like myself needs +23 in speed mods to cap with any pistol.

Also you do know that a pistoleer's and fencer's dodge mods do not work against rifleman? Why? Because the rifles over the top range mods negate active defenses leaving the pistoleer with only his minimal ranged defense as protection.

As for stacking, sure you can stack. You can stack your defenses with melee or even pick up pistoleer or carbineer if you like. What your trying to say is that a Master Rifleman by himself should be equal to a Master Pistoleer/Desperato/Rogue. Last I checked the skill point usage for M. Rifleman < M. Pistoleer/Deperato/Rogue.






wild bill just so ya know i am against adding any more mods to rifleman like defences as the devs said we shold be high dmg **edit**ty defences and thats how i am trying to keep rifle. And just so ya know i have mastered almost every combat prof too except pikeman

I just looked at the skill tre the guy set up in all honesty why the hell do ya need to have 165 speed doesn't it cap at 100?

well i tried to add this once but didnt work so sorry if i post twice

well the trees for the ablilites are fie dont mees wit em just make em work.

pistol template master pistoleer/bh 0040/smuggler 0040/ novice comando is the most versitile.
the get damage to health and mind pools. the can do heat energy kenetic stun blast damage a ranged
and melee kd a high high def highest speed moderate damage andthe largest aoe (if people know how to use muti target shot)
also the can burn people what more beside fixin g the few problems could u ask for from a weapon

I would pick up rifleman but I'm a smuggler and doesn't look good with my smuggling gear,and you're the one who capped off with your arrogance about how pistols we're as powerful as rifleman and that garbage putting down pistoleers asking for fixes to their profession. I suggest you quit harassing the pistoleer forums and go back to the hole you crawled out of. Nice crafty way to get past the language filters but "swearing is a feeble mind's attempt at making a strong statement."


And healing isn't the point... a rifleman without medic will still beat a pistoleer because a pistoleer cannot hit for actual in game DPS like a rifleman.The fact that the health pool can be healed only compounds the problem.
