Disarmshot should do they following:1)removes the weapon from someones hotkey and place into thier inventory. Want to fight a pistoleer, ya better have more than more weapon on your hotbar, cuss it just got shot out of your hand, wicked!

2)Or it Clears the weapon que, this would represent some getting there weapon hit and would cause havoc to someones tactics. It could even be an anti-special move against someone, ie they cannot load specials into thier combat window.

3)Does a little damage to the opponents weapon, we are not talking alot here.

Devs take notice!

I am nearing the point where I have to decide which first pistoleer skill to select, I would like to have one of our specials useful.

If the only thing it does is cause someone'sweapon some damage, it better be enough to cause it to fail. Otherwise its useless in combat. Having someone's gun completey blown away seems a bit harsh, but it sure the hell disarms em now doesnt it.

Whoa whoa whoa, disarm shot is working now? Wow, I thought i would have never seen the day. So it does about 15-20 dmg per shot eh? Not too useful if you ask me; I would go more for the wasted attack round on the opponents part, but that's just me.

Personally I don't care about people's weapons. I have no trouble buying new ones. There's no lack of weaponsmiths on my server and if it makes a bigger market for weapons I suppose more people will become smiths. I have plenty of good pistols and if someone breaks one oh well. If I break someone else's and they can't use it, good.

OK a pistoleer fired a bullet and hits the weapon your holding. Ouch your hand hurts. Logically, you drop it (say into inventory) and wouldn't be able re-equip for some time (10 sec?, 60 sec?). If you try to re-equip your are exposed to extra damage, scrambling on ground looking for gun...? You could equip another weapon from your inventory without penalty, the rxn time to actually do this probably simulates pulling another gun out of its holster, even with hotkey.

Disarm should be a risky shot, running around in a fight targeting a small gun can't be 100%.

I agree. Disarm shot should be a lower percentage shot to hit with, but instead of dropping to inventory...maybe it could drop to the ground where ONLY the person that dropped it can pick it up. It would be too easy to drop it into inventory and a person hotkey it back to his hand before his next shot went off. Dropping it to the ground and having the only permission to pick it up would require time to get it. Also, this would mean the weapon could not decay like a regular item or corpse, but rather like a player corpse. I would hate to die and not be able to run back in time to get it.

So am I the only one to notice that Disarm Shot is incredibly useful for a purpose that has nothing to do with it's title? Try firing it against any nest, you get a nice damage modifier. That's all I ever use the skill for.

Really, they should just change it's name to "structural shot" or something...like you learned how to knock a screw out of a support beam with a bullet...I don't know.
