Uthyr, no! Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny!

To paraphrase a line from A League of Their Own. "Of course being a pistoleer is hard! If it was easy, everyone would do it."

Just look how ugly you look with that rifle in your hand. Remember how sexy the women thought you were with the sleek pistol in your hand.

Ok, I think I'm done with my silly remarks to get you to come back to the light.

Difficult to see... always in motion is the future, and the Dark Side clouds everything.

I really don't know what I am going to do at this point. I need to play around with the templates a bit more. I don't really feel like being an underdog any longer--I did that for too many months as a Pistoleer pre-CU, holding out hope that things were going to take a big turn for the better with the CU--especially if it is within my easy power to respec to something more viable. The question is what is the most viable... if a skilled Pistoleer can be just as much a force to be reckoned with as Rifleman, then this is where I'd rather stay. That's a big "if" though. I never did get used to the ridiculously short range of pistols that we have now...

We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

This is true... but my laser rifle is a lot bigger than my underpowered DE-10...

I've used pistols for a long time on one or the other of my accounts.

It is a shame to see you leave, but I understand your reasoning for doing so.

I'm staying with Pistoleer. I have a Master Pistoleer/Master Doc and I'm loving it. *shrugs* I don't feel the need to be a FotM template and never have. In fact, I dropped BH to take Doctor just so life would be more interesting, but kept pistol with both.

Yes, we have a shorter range and our damage output is nothing special, but I can solo a L82 with my pistols as the only damage output I have.

Have fun in whatever you decide to play next. *bows*

As a Bounty Hunter/Pistoleer I have 2 seperare hearts for both proffesions.

I must admit that pistoleer is a Mezzer and only a Mezzer and needs a damage dealing and defence proffesion to balance a template. For me it came out lucky because i was BH/pistoleer before the CU so i did not change my template as it already has what it takes, for someone with a template like Creature Handler/Pistoleer or Doctor/Pistoleer it's harder to acctualy eliminate a target without these denfensive/offensive bonusses as a stand alone character. Pistoleer alone as a Mezzer is great for groups with the debuff abilities like intimidation shot or stoppingshot but as a stand alone we are forced to take a "shell" like in my case Bounty Hunter. I can understand your choice resigning LordMaxx, your heart for Pistoleer is and always has been strong and you did some important things in my opinion.

I salute you

The problem with pistoleer is CC.

Why CC? When I think crowd control, I think massive amounts of suppressive fire...which makes me think "automatic weapons"....which means carbines.

When I think "Gunslinger", I think fast and deadly, but only from close range.

Of course I'd be wrong...obviously Jessie James, Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday and all the other famous gunslingers didn't actuallly shoot to kill, they all worked on slowing and holding one opponent why their unremarkable rifleman buddies hiding in the hills finished them off. Because we all know the other enemies would just sit and wait patiently.

Why the hell would you want to do crowd control from 30m? Especially when the mezzes only last a couple seconds and only affect one mob...what kind of sense does that make??

None. It doesn't make any sense at all.

I'm a Master Pistoleer, but I have to use Master BH to round out my profession into something even remotely resembling a gunslinger...and looking at the numbers, I'm still on the low end of the damage scale.
