Yes you do, however you do not spend 208 points in killing. If you add up all your skill points used for combat skills it equals125 and this is across a total of 4 weapons. In fact even when you factor in the novice skills you spend a total of 64 points on Pistol related skills. thats almost half and dont even get me started in the difference in pistol xp, yet you are right up there with us on pistol PvP (and better)...**edit**?
Rhyus, this is what knockdowns are for. This is what posture changes are for. TKA's *HAVE* to be in melee range, while you can be what.. 64m+away? Burst run can do alot for that, but you've got that same burst run. Body shotting a player isn't gonna work unless they're not going to attack you honestly, not often at least. Melees see it from a different eye, to them we can be killed IF they catch us, our job is to not get caught eh? Using knockdowns.. hell even supression fire from RWS4 is a great tool, to knock someone to kneeling, it stops em, and stops burst run most importantly if you can hit em with a knockdown.
So.. really the abilities aren't that disadvantaged when you can rip off multiple hits. Melee trumps ranged at melee range, ranged trumps melee from afar, each one has their ups and downs, and neither should have both ups and no downs imo.

Our FAQ has some OK damage /delay tables for specials.
The tangle pistol is "stun" damage, that is, there is, most armor (all armor I think), has 0 stun resistance, and thus, it goes straight through armor. Shields are the only defense against stun weaponry. It's not intended to cause the "stun" effect, although that would be fitting wouldn't it?
Ok Jaejen i understand that now but the damage on this gun is only 1/4 of the DX2 which is a AR1 pistol i still dont see it as useful as it is.
Or am i plain wrong here ?

If the BH line didnt have to master the scout profession and instead had to master a combat profession like rifle carbine or pistoleer.
A bounty hunter might deserve the power and status you have and want but currently dont deserve..as it is Scout means nothing in combat
Its a terrible design flaw in the BH character creation process giving you guys powers and specials you havent worked for and dont deserve to have.
Spend those same points mastering a real combat profession first and nobody wil complain about uber BHs
As it is the complaining is deserved and will continue as long as it is this way.

In all seriousness though there isnt anyway soe can fix this other than increasing the BH XPs cost in their current boxes that Reflect their combat potential fairly against other professions.
What i mean is if a master BH can own a master pistoleer....then his XPs should reflect that. AND not scout XPs there meaningless in comabt !
..If a BH with 4 boxes in pistol can whip a master pistoleer with a pistol the the BH pistol boxes should be 4 times as expensive as ours are. in weapons xps
and yea you should have to EARN the combat XPs like we do too for your speed ! Talk about uber and Cheep hahahaha I giggle every time i compare the BH pistol line and the pistoleer pistol line then knowing I am a pistoleer i get depressed

If that isn’t an example of a selfish troll post I don’t know what is. What even gets me more then that is how our Rep even listens to your types. I just really don’t get it, if you think BH is too powerful, be one.. What is stopping you? I'm a master pistoleer and I’ll tell u one thing for sure. I will kill any BH 1 v 1, eyeshot vs stopping shot or disarmshot2 vs underhandshot. I will beat them over and over again. Don’t u find that offensive to BHers, that you can hand them their asses since it took them soo long to get up there and master it in the first place?
Mastering pistoleer took me 8 days. Mastering weapons is a joke for the most part. Mastering BH would take me **edit** forever, and I give anyone that mastered bh serious props. I was previously a master pistoleer and bh-pistol line. I dropped BH for the Cmedic I am currently working on.
I mean look at LebaOripa's post.. need more exp? You could say the same for dodge on pistoleer once they work. Because I know I’m going to make a dodge dabbler once they work. They will never make BH too difficult for the average gamer. And as SOE as stated. BH will be the master of combat. Right now he is not... Right now it is the pistoleer. This will be fixed.

LOL what is so great about it??? They get 3 skills and speed-acc bonuses. Torso is worthless now, eyeshot is only great incap camping(harassing) Stopping, doubletap, disarmshot2 is soo much better. My character was mastered when I was previously a Master Pistoleer and BH pistol line... I NEVER used BH-line skills, seriously. That's why I dropped BH line, not nearly worth it. Before any of you bandwagoneers jump on to bitch about BH, try taking it up and using them. OH almost forgot that difference from the added speed BH gave me was hardly anything. You kids are just going about something u don’t even have the slightest idea about... Don’t blame the MAN blame BH!!!

Bloodfin must have some pretty weak bountyhunters is all i can say and the ones we have on flurry must be awesome.
This is the way i normally lose to them
They see you on radar at range 64+ and are already spamming KD with there carbine once in range guess what you go down to KD
In the hot bar they switch to pistol and eye shot and keep charging popping your mind ........I still cant get up from the KD just lay there and take damage
Buy the time he reaches me my 900 points of mind is gone i am incapped he death blows me and doesnt even slow down from running to his next victim.
I never get the chance to return fire but in the opening shot....this has happened to me about a dozen times.......and to a lot of other people on this server too
no pets or other players we involved in these combats pure 1 on 1
perhaps these flurry bounty hunters should teach classes ?
right now the only defense i have against ranged KD is to have as many pets as i can on GUARD cause i drop in the first shot and am out of the combat totally if i dont.
you know a lot of people talk about our defenses ......they dont work havent worked in the almost 3 months ive had the game so it is totally pointless to even enter them in the dicussion there just useless numbers
In 1 on 1 combat knockdown from a BH totally domminates this game I have smuggler low blow now but even when it works the person gets right back up when a BH KDs me i am down for the count cause the BHs i fight dont play around your dead in about 4 to 6seconds and my character cannot get back up in this time all i can do is lay there and take it
i am assuming the BHs herehave a good sliced powered up pistols and the pvp mind damage they do to me is about 150 to 250 points a shot when i am on my back
and yes i am wearing a marine helment too 30% resist....IMO it doesnt help yes i know what the numbers say but wearing it to death a few times simply delayed my death only a second or 2 he made maybe 2 extra shots to kill me.
So all of out Great pistoleers skills that do random ham damage are pretty useless from the laying on your back positition

Seems to me Omni you need a new character on flurry and some BH training Either by being a BH or being owed by them either way its quite quick and for petes sake dont blink!
So how do you think the BH isnt master of PVP ? and a pistoleer is ? were talking 1 on 1 combat now
seeing how you are a master pistoleer tell me how you defeat the first KD shot at range 64 ? and beat these weak bounty hunters in pure 1 on 1 combat
My tactic is to use harsh language but its not very effective let me tell you! Its weaker the body shot 3!
I tried to read your post and understand all of it seems your comparing a DAbbing profesions while i am not there is a huge difference I am comparing pistoleer to bounty hunter
Dont go adding in other professionsand there skills to confuse the issue if your a pistoleer /BH verses a pure BH with a pistol thats not what i am talking about

and if you compare double tap stopping shot and disarm 2 all random ham damage no special effect to the BH eye shot ? which does only mind damage ?
Your too funny you must have mastered pistoleer 9 days after the game came out huh....well all those shots currently do easy to heal damage except the BH eye shot which cant be healed

and laying on my back for 5 seconds isnt a fix ! in a 1 on 1 contest i will still be DEAD anyone can do the math and see that.
eyeshot and knockdown is the most deady combo in the game in pvp
I guess thats why they have pets in this game you know something to entertain the guy with the KD while you take a snooze
