I still dont get it, you get 45.5k an hour per weapon in marksman. How is that faster than getting 4.5k per hour for pistol than that same rate until pistoleer? Any way you look at it you get pistoleer faster and easier. If I'm not seeing your point let me know plz.

Masters should get a weapon worthy of the title.

That said... bounty hunters take alot of credits, pistoleers take alot of time. The difference is... with a pistoleer, you can do much much more with your character... you can become a master creature handler and still have room to work on being a medic. This is a huge advantage in PVM versitility. If you want a quick easy dirty pvp char, why the hell wouldn't you be a bounty hunter?

Your sentence kinda confused me. I am not sure what you are asking for. What I was saying is that getting up Pistoleer Tactics, Marksmanship, and Stances and Grips is equal to getting up the Bounty Hunter Carbine Specialization, Pistol Specialization, and LLC Specialization. Since they all require 150k, 250k, 350l and 450k of that weapon experience its about the same time. Here is where its different though. Investigation takes a bit longer. But Pistoleer Combat XP also takes a bit longer. I have master across the board on pistoleer EXCEPT for Special Abilities. I am 50,000xp short which means I need about 500,000 weapon experience to get master on that(i think tahts right). But all in all BH is longer to get up if I am correct. But thats b/c of Investigation.

So is anyone opposed to adding a Pistolto MASTER Pistoleers? This should be a good compromise in my mind.

I am re-posting this thread on the main SWG discussion boards for everyone to take a look at. I posted it earlier here so that I will have a small taste of the discussion before the SWG discussion board gets ahold of it.

Generally yes, keep in mind tho that BH pistol is a little harder cause there is no BH pistol knockdown like pistolwhip. That being said I think we have no argument. I'd like to get back to your idea of a master pistoleer weapon which is a wonderful idea and think would make a big difference in terms of something tangible for mastering the class. I was thinking, what about a geonesian type of pistol that would be stun based, maybe ar1, base stats similiar if not slightly less than a scatter (after all stun cant be blocked by armor). It could also have a sound wave rippling effect? I think that'd be sweet.

Something else I forgot: What if BH kept their modifiers but move a good portion to master? This would keep master bounty hunters at their same proficiency while making it less attractive to simply get 1 tree to augment another weapon mastery? Say instead of all 50 speed and accuracy attainable without bothering to master the profession, make 20 of it attainable only by mastering BH?

I like the sound wave gun that stuns idea. Why were you opposed to AR2 again? It could take out vehicles? I thought AR 1-3 were just levels of personal armor. But AR1 with a good % to stun would be cool.

I like the idea of moving major BH pistol buffs up into Master BH. That would at least give BH's what they deserve, but not so soon, and would discourage "dabbling". A pistoleer could still get the BH pistol tree if they really wanted all the pistol they could get, but they wouldn't get insane modifiers, and their current mods would still augment the new skills (eye shot is really cool) well.

So I guess they nerfed sigs too?

Sorry I keep cutting and pasting but its the only way I can see what I'm responding to. This is from the Devs armor description:

Armor Ratings have four possible values: None, Light, Medium, and Heavy. Personal armor always falls into the Light category with None being reserved for those with no armor and the other two values being reserved for armored vehicles and especially nasty critters.

I couldn't justify having an ar2+ weapon being a 1 handed pistol. Something that is used to engage armored vehicals and rancor types should really be reserved for the already plagued commando. Also when I said "stun" I meant stun damage not a stun effect. Although to be honest I don't see why the stun damage wouldnt have a chance to actually stun something...hmmm.

Why is it everytime I'm on these forums I remember an old saying about arguing on the internet in comparison to being in the Special Olympics?
