I have noticed that powerups do degrade the weapon a good deal faster than normal. With that knowledge, I won't be putting just any powerup on my weapons anymore, probably only ones that decrease speed and increase max damage.

Threads like this make me happy about my own pistol. It beats most pistols of its type without powerups. I personally use an FWG5 at 44-177dmg 1.5 speed. Sliced but no upgrades. Heat damage is very nice, as is a 20 Ideal Range, helps in PvP.

special move cost on scout is basically nothing, and FAST. before i got healthshot2 i could just spam bodyshot2 at blazing speed for only 23 action.

My FWG5 is: 54-203, 1.9 speed, sliced. (was 41-159, 1.9 before slicing)

With a power up it's 54-276

41-159 is the best I've seen on Starsider to date for an unsliced G5. I'm jealous of you guys with the boomers!

For armored opponents, I tend to use my 116-160 Scatter ... but 56 action cost on it just kills me.

My two pistols are an FWG5 that's 46-188 with 2.4 spd sliced, and a Scatter at 80-134 (not 100 percent on the low end, this is from memory) and 1.9 spd sliced. I like the scatter better, as I hit every second when I don't use slow specials. Usually it's pistol whip, then blam..blam...blam...for 8 seconds or so, then pistol whip again....The FWG5 hits harder, but I only get 1 shot every 1 3/4 seconds or so.

This is all on Bria, so remember your server may have better or worse materials. Also, I'm pretty sure I didn't get the best slice on either of those guns. I just used the first guy that could slice for me.

I use a sliced 127-200, 2.1 Scatter Pistol. Speed isn't really a factor unless you have one thats above 2.3. With master pistoleer, and bounty hunter pistol 4, You get a minus 1.3 speed bonus from your skill mods. So my 2.1 scatter is still shooting at the capped 1.0 speed.

Your specials will still benefit from more speed. Speed is king.

At least until they nerf pistolwhip.

power up'd and sliced scatter pistol for pvp only so the powerups last. The powerups i use increase min dmg.

163-196 2.1 scatter pistol.

combine this with stopping shot, and its game over for the opposition.

Think it works out to roughly 85 dps.

Hope that helps you compare. I just added min and max damage then divided by speed. Although dps spands for damage per second, this formula actually gives damage per whatever time unit the speed stand for (it is roughly a second). So it is a very close estimate of dps. It will tell you, however, which pistols do the most damage the quickest.
