Nothing against Han, i liked him but it don't want to be his clone! Sure the DL44 is known from the film, but i still like the FWG5 and the Tangle more. However i too would appreciate it, if all pistol would be "useful" and just had different advantages and disadvantages.

Huh, kinda makes you wonder which forum this should be in, eh? Anyways, the idea that Han Solo's pistol should be the best pistol in the game is, in my opinion, quite illogical. Just because Han Solo is the iconic smuggler/pistoleer in the Star Wars universe doesn't mean he has to have the best of the best. Luke was a strong enough user of the Force to defeat his awesomely powerful father in combat, but that doesn't mean his lightsaber was the greatest weapon in the galaxy. True, Han was an excellent shot and took down an insane number of troopers with his gun, but that doesn't mean it had to be the greatest, most expensive pistol out there.

Many reasons could be given as to why Han used a sub-par pistol: it had sentimental value (who knows how long he's used it or how many times it has saved his life?), he was more comfortable with it than any other due to it's weight, or kickback, or something like that (just cause a desert eagle is stronger than a beretta doesn't mean it's a better choice for everyone), he had it expertly sliced and modified beyond what the game can provide and thus far better than one expects(c'mon, the game can't cram the entire SW universe down our throat all at once, give it time).

Frankly put, Han's gun does not equal automatic ass-kicking in the game. It's a matter of style and skill that makes his weapon seem formidable, not raw stats. True, the pistol should be improved simply because it is a weak weapon for pistoleers to obtain and god knows we deserve better than that and the silver banana gun as our certified pistols. However, it should not be improved simply because a popular character uses the same gun and looks cooler doing so. With that said, I do have a request to ask of anyone reading this: What pistols did Jango Fett use in Episode 2, and are they in the game? I really don't have the literature or know-how to discover this out for myself (add sheepish expression here).

who cares what pistols he used - by your logic they are subpar....................whatever logic that means.

the ENTIRE reason it should be improved is because it was used by a popular charachter and he looked cool using it.

this is star wars.

people become legends or heros becasue they use the best and do the best.

why would you try to justify that hans pistol sucked because the ones in the game sucks?

thats totally bassackwards.......

This was a very strange discussion..

First of all, because in starwars one shot to the head ment death (perhaps 2-3 if armored). And if a "novice marksman" wanted too use a scatter, whats to stop him? Its just pick it up and pull the trigger... Its a known fact that Han had slices his heavy Dl44 blaster, but I doubt he had speed modifiers on it. Damages usely get irrelevant because its so powerfull anyway. And you usely shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger.. (Thrust me)

Other then that..

The heroes in Starwars are constantly buffed. thats why they're not wearing armor. Boba Fett got armor, but we all know what happens to him (or do we?). Trooper armor is made of very low grade resources, and only got an avrg. 10% protection. Also, the ST used booster blue, but the time was up when Han came, so they was puking while Han spamed last ditch on them. (Why is it called last ditch, when u can spam it?) Han and Luke are just good prepared PvP'ers, while the rest just returned from theyre 36k Enr. Rancor missions, all exhausted..

The main reason that the dl-44 is a low power weapon is because Han used it. It is all about marketing. Everyone who uses pistols wants to use Hans gun, so give it early on. I was sooo excited way back when when I got certified to use it. That is what it is all about, give the customer what they want and do it fast. Now what they should do is make add aheavy version that is something similar to the republic blaster.

You want real star wars info. Every single blaster set to kill will kill in one shot if it hit a criticial organ, just like getting shot in the heart or head you will die. Stormtrooper armor doesn't do **edit** against blaster fire, its not supposed to. It was there to protect against everything else, you cannot put a dent in stormtrooper armor with anythng but a blaster. It was also there to impose fear because the Empire used the Tarkin docterine, rule out fear of power, not real power.

I'm sure you worked out all the concept art for all the Star Wars weapons with George Lucas yourself to know that... most ridiculous answer i've ever heard.

I think i've found the reason why Leia and Han used lower-tier weapons.

Leia, i'm assuming, was a Master Politician, perhaps Businessman, and a few other things.

Obviously, she wasn't certified to use a DX2. So sheuses the best that she realisticallycan: an exceptional or legendaryCDEF.

perhaps Han, as well, used an Exceptional or Legendary DL44 because it was better than anything else on the market...

I think that Han spent so many credits to upgrade his ship that he did not have enough to have a cool pistol.

I'd have to agree. I loved it when I could use my DL-44 and be effective. It felt likea Star Wars gun!

In that same venue though, is it just me, or does it have the wrong soung for when it fires? It sounds like a stormtrooper rifle, not Han's blaster.
