the melee fighters u must be fighting suck . they have given many advantages to melee vs ranged read up about it. and being the closest ranged fighter pistoleer will get eatin up almost everytime against a good melee fighter

lets please stay ranged ....maybe added dmg ...fixing some of our moves ....and allow us to aim while moving any i have not porblems with melee.

I agree that rifles should get more accuracy mods than us, but the fact that they get more speed mods is just sick... they may not like it, but something NEEDS to be done.

Why Should RIFLEMEN get more accuracy ???? Have you looked at your weapon lately ???? All ranged classes should have the same stinking accuracy......


Pistols + at close range .... - at long range

Carbines 0 or - at close range + intermediate range and 0 or - at long range

Rifles - at close range and - at long range .....


That is the deciding factor in accuracy bro the weapon ....... But as it is with a 180 accuracy and your pathetic 110 accuracy rifleman can even beat you standing in your face because thier two hit is still better than yours .... Considering the fact that they have 70 more points of accuracy than you do ..... I could even understand that pistoler was designed to match up with smuggler, commando, or bounty hunter .... But as of now commando has 0 pistol mods also smuggler has 0 mods .. Hell Bounty hunter the best you can hope for is 155 accuracy whereas a rifleman still has you beat by 25 points but they still got more points to spend so they can stack more defenses onto thier already super offensive class.....


As of now rifleman is the most offensive class in the game and has the most accuracy .... Fensers only get 155 at master and thats with brawler .... The defenses are better than a pistoler also ...... So if you go rifleman you can also stack pistoler and maybe tka for the most defensive and most offensive combo in the game ......


Point is a rifleman is a SNIPER its not a close combat profession so why on earth do they have any melee defense ..... this is how it should be .....



Pistoler 50 melee defense and 110 dodge


Carbiner 25 melee defense and 25 ranged defense + 110 counter attack


Rifleman 50 ranged defense and 110 block ......


Now wouldnt that make more sense .......... I'm talking about what is fair than fair ....... Pistolers and carbiners have all taken a back seat to this class ..... The most popular template btw is rifleman + some tka + fenser .....


The other day one rifleman named -Solo- came into the imperial outpost after the defense nerf and killed like 4 or 5 imps by himself and didnt even get a scratch on him .... I was point blank as a master commando with a flamethrower and I missed ..... Also spaming fan shot I missed every stinkin time about 30 times in a row at medium to close range ........ while on the other hand the other day when i got bounty hunter pistols 4 I smoked a stinkin rifleman template jerk because my accuracy was 155 not a stinkin 110 .........



Also Speed mods is totaly pathetic ....... If the lowest time per attack being 1 second and you max it out in no time with pistols that fire as fast as 2 or 3 seconds ......... Pistols 1 have no armor penetration and are supposed to be real fast giving a pistoler an advantage in speed to make up in dps for what is lacking in weapon damage ...... Rifleman on the other hand have high damage rifles which are slow but at master level still fire at one second ...... What is the problem here ...... The speed calculations need to be hard capped .....



Rifles should be high damage but slow speed

Carbines Medium damage at medium speed

pistols low damage at fast speeds


Rifles should fire once every 3 seconds ........

Carbines once every 2 seconds .....

Pistols once every one second ........



Another point if Duel Wielding Pistols was introduced I really wouldnt have a hard time with the low accuracy ....... but it should be the same accross the board untill I equip that pistol..... And as far as im concerned duel wielding should be a smuggler trait and not a pistoler trait ..........

Are you out of your mind? Master Pistoleer only costs 92 skill pts. You can't expect to excell without the majority of your pts being put towards your goal. If you get your way, the only thing you will accomplish will be to make another broken profession with too much power and too many extra skill pts to make it even worse. Don't believe me, just look at riflemen.

Excellent poll. The only thing I disagree with is that most of our specials should target Health. This is good for PvE (since enemies usually die from Health), but in PvP the Health pool is the worst one to attack, since it can be healed (unlike Mind) and is relatively unaffected by specials (unlike Action). Oh well, someone has to do it.

Hmmmm I find myself Leveling Pistoler and Smuggler again on another account that I own so me and my bro will have a master smuggler to slice our wares. I have yet come to determine once again that PISTOLERS SUCK ..................... and if anyone will disagree i'll just say go play some other classes before you speak your mind ..........................


The only worth while attack till fanshot is HealthShot2 which really sucks and takes forever to even kill quenkers ..............


The speed is ridiculous and Our speed mods being in our combat tree well that makes it slow going.......


The accuracy is a joke ................................ 110 max at master marksman and master pistoler with no mods except in bounty hunter .......


The defense really isnt all that its cracked up to be either ..................



Alot of people are screaming for mind shots and dizzy .............. I think You people need to get a grip and ask the Developers to use thier creative talent and stop cutting this class short..............



I kinda get the feeling that pistoler was not designed to be a stand alone profession that it was designed with other professions in mind............. Well Hear is my opinion how ever valuable that it is ........ If we are to be coupled with other professions please make it worth our while .........



Maybe Smuggler could have as follows



60 Pistol Accuracy scattered throughout its tree's


20 melee defense


25 ranged defense


Duel Wield so pistolers could fire 2 shots every three seconds and allow us to use two damage types ..........




or maybe Commando



60 accuracy


some ranged and melee defense






Just a thought ................... but if so make it worth our while ........ no reason we should spend all our points to get better attack and defense if classes such as rifleman and tka dont have to spend anything ........

Oh and the last time I looked Pistoler was supposed to be a ranged profession ............... what are you people Smoking crack 21 meters ................. Amaster Brawler can LUNGE2 at 18 Meters if you havent realised ......... I think the problem is you people vote this junk without any game knowledge at all .................. Hell maybe they shouldnt get rid of holo grinding so people will actualy learn to play all the classes .............




Pistoler range 10 to 35 is a good range ............... If you guys have ever PVP'D before what the hell goes on? What alot of running around and dodging and ducking .... Does anyone just stand there and just let themselves get hit ............. Why not give Rifleman another advantage ............... Id like you guys to actualy try to stay under 21 meters the whole fight with someone trying to get outside of 21 meters ............ Havent you ever heard if you are following someone you have to go faster than they do to keep up because you dont know where they are gonna turn or what move the are gonna make next .... The last I checked we all ran the same speed unless you did burst run ...................



Level out the accuracy .......... Make accuracy same accross the board for all the ranged classes ................ Make the weapons the deciding factor ..................


Making weapons with different accuracies at different ranges is kinda dumb and makes everything harder to keep up plus it limits pistolers to only one prefered weapon .......... Make the skill of the pistoler determine our accuracies with the different weapons ......... Why should all pistolers be limited to the dx2 pistol at master level ..........


Maybe some more damage types ............... And im not just talking about for pistoler .......... I havent seen one cold pistol yet?


Duel Wield is a must If we are to keep up with the other ranged classes ................. Plus its totaly Pimping


Get rid of the redundant specials ......... I'd Be happy with only a few ......... Health Bleed ,,,, Health Shot ,,,, Pistol whip ..... Disarming shot if it actualy disarmed the weapon for 10 seconds or so ............. Not a Warcry .............

A blinding shot would be nice .................. and fan shot ............... but one thing we need higher dps to make it in the gcw ..... If duel wield was introduced and coupled with fan shot id be happy as hell If I could atleast penetrate someones defenses .........


AP1 would be nice


AP2 hmmmm sounds like thats for heavier weapons.............

It looks like people seem a bit divided as to what our role should be. If we look at the other ranged professions and then look at our own skillset, I think its pretty easy to see where the devs intended us to go. Riflemen do a ton of damage. Carbineers have a ton of state effects. We have dodge and some ranged and melee defense (albeit not very much). Its pretty easy to see that we should probably be the 'tank' of the ranged professions. That would entail us getting more melee and ranged defense, at the cost of not getting a major damage improvement. We shouldn't get a huge damage increase if we get a ton of defensive bonuses. In the same vein, we shouldn't get a bunch of defensive bonuses if we get a huge DPS increase, although we don't really effectively target a single ham bar like the riflemen, so we do still have room for improvement there.

Has anyone seen the Clone Wars shorts on Cartoon Network? How about that Dark Trooper Leader.. I saw him and all I could think was 'wow.. that is what pistoleer should be'.

It would be real nice to have PMD be a Dizzy/KD. (Getting smacked in the head with a pistol would most definately knock a person down and make them dizzy.)


A pistoleer special for hitting the mind pool. Everyone else can hit it, as pistoleers we should too.


Agree with higher damage specials for the Action pool. Being able to hit all three pools with equitable accuracy/damage only makes sense for a pistoleer.

Yes while we are at it why give us stun, blind, dizzy, knockdown, headshot, legshot, flamecone, lightning cone, the All powerfull DEATHSHOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Dude thats totaly retarded this damn game has to many KD & DIZZY classes as it is ..................... Oh and mind shot thats totaly dumb if you havent read the forums you would know that the HAM bar is gonna be redisigned ....... MIND bar will no longer be a special attack and stim packs will heal mind damage...... The default attack in star wars hits the health bar the most followed by action then lastly mind ...... Go out and fight something over half the time your shots without specials will drop the ham bar the most ........ So what does that tell me in the new combat and HAM revamp the health bar will be the most valuable attack there is......... Why not do your home work before you ask for a mind shot ...... If you keep asking stupid crap like that they will turn this class into a jack of all trades master of none ............. The only classes in my opinion whom should have mindshot is Rifleman and Swordsman... KD & Dizzy should be TKA, Pikeman, and Carbiner........................................................ And to whom said that we dont know what a pistoler is designed for .................. Look at rifleman they have the same melee defense and more ranged defense plus block ............. Looks like to me they were made to be the tank of the ranged professions .................. Hell Fenser is a tank and they do a hell of alot more damage than we do............................ No give us the accuracy we deserve and the dps we need to survive ....... Fix our specials and get rid of class redundancy ............................
