I've been Master Pistoleer for a long time now, I use the BH tree to improve the profession and roll in PvP with above average success. Just lately I'm having a crisis of conscience about whether or not to ditch Pistoleer and go to a profession that works where I can do Janta Mission without having to kite them like a lunatic and still go out and perform above average (or better) in PvP.

The new pistols that are coming into the game look awesome, but I still feel that we need juicing up to compete with other profs. Carbineers seem to be getting some attention, is it too much to ask for the three main ranged professions (Carbines, Rifles, Pistols)to be equaly competitive in a PvP situation. At the present time the Rifle would womp any of the other two profs, and I have never been beaten by a Carbineer but I put that down to Eyeshot more than anything (BH special not Pistoleer special). Watch any two Melee profs go at it with each other and the fight goes on for ages, with little or no advantage to either party (DoT's not withstanding)till food or spice runs out or goes on a downer then the fight swings one way or the other. Now watch a Rifleman and Pistoleer go at it with each other and the Rifleman will prevail in a relatively quick timeframe.

Yes I know about the Combat rebalance but at the moment it's almost like a prophecy about the end of the world, you think "yeah it could happen soon" but invariably it never does. I've made a decision to hang in there a little longer and see what happens but my patience is running out fast with Pistols I hope we get some love soon.
