Thread: Pistoleer's please comment on upcoming requests
How about this. Move Disarming Shot to the 4, and just move everything else down one box? I really would like the disarm shots to be fixed. The idea of having a cool trickshot really appeals to me.
And this is kind of off topic, but does anyone else not like the Dead-Eye title? I think Crackshot would have sounded a lot cooler.

My top priority would be specials. Balance problems are hard to avoid, combat mechanics that don't quite work are understandable, but broken and useless specials mean the profession is not finished.
Body shot 3 getting a damage boost would be my favorite thing. This should be an easy sell and an easy fix. I am also particularly interested in seeing stopping shot and disarming shot 2 get improvements.
I'm still very concerned about speed. I think their proposed solution (speed caps) is not workable and will eventually get pistols nerfed. It is also ludicrous that speed of weapons and speed of specials is meaningless at the high end game. I want to see a better equation or an explanation of why they can't change/don't want to changethe equation. I want to see bounty hunter speed increases separated from pistoleer increases. I also want them to do what the combat designer mentioned, increase pistoleer speed and spread it out more--unlike the other speed fixes, that should be a no brainer.
My third complaint is our pistols. Fix the Republic blaster cert, that wouldn't require adding a new pistol to the game. It should be extremely easy to do. No clue if the republic blaster is any good, but some more choices would be nice. Eventually, of course, I want many many more very cool pistols for all pistol using professions. Improve the DX2 accuracy, and if you guys think fiddling with the blaster handles or whatever would be helpful, I'm all for that.
I would consider our class acceptably fixed if this stuff went in the next patch. Sure there is more to work on, but this at least would stop me from feeling like the class was broken.
I have been following his posts closely and Jaegen88 is making pretty good sense to me. For me the biggest skill-shot priority is MTPS. Its supposed to be the pistoleers uber shot, they need to make it so. The DX2 is my other big issue now. The "glue gun" as I have began calling it is a horrible excuse for a gunfighter weapon. Other weapon certs would be ok I guess, but I would rather have something new. We pistoleers have taken so much crap from the BH's that I don't even want to touch one of their pistols. Bottom-line though is we need a new weapon horribly, something that I don't have to be 10m from target and kneeling to get a pos multiplier with.

to my recolection, the weaponsmith's bug for stacking power handler's are still not fixed. The stacking power handler's are suppose to increase the quality/damage of the weapon because their suppose to add up, however, as it is now they are not adding up so it's being counted against the weapon (or actually only having one counted intead of all 5) so the quality/damage is poor. Perhaps we should have them fix this bug so we can determine if our DX2 is truely the Elite Pistoleer weapon or if it's the second to worse pistol in the game. Perhaps asking them if they are looking into that problem or asking them what the DX2 should be at will give us an example. I'm afraid that if we have it lowered to 2 power handler's, then they fix it, we'll be out of a truely good weapon.
Personaly I like the new Fan Shot.. yes it may be a pain to those of you still leveling but its WAY worth it at master.. I walked up to NYMs camp with Dx2 sent in my Cowardly gurrek and wasted all the Nyms with Fan shot way faster than i could have ever imagined..

My new number 1 is now... Make Pistol melee D 2 a DIZZY! Other ranged classes will have no reason to complain they get ranged dizzy.. However of course this would negativly effect melee classes who we could proceed to out melee.. But hey at least they can get to us they cant even get near a Carbine (when there dizzy is fixed) cant geat near BH carbine and rifleman has dizzy and posture change.. But they dont even need to use those since they can kite all day..
SO in conclusion make PMD 2 a Dizzy
this will probably get flamed, but how about making pmd2 target mind pool. i mean we are whacking someone in the head with a pistol arent we? seems fair to me, not like a ranged mind attack like rifleman and bh have, and if carbineers cry, well they can dizzy kd so... just throwing it out there.
Personally I have felt for a very long time that Pistoleers need a Master only weapon. In my head I have it pictured as this very strong, very short ranged gun with heavy armor piercing. Something togive Master Gunfighters a fighting chance against any profession (I say very short ranged because currently pistoleers are better at 64m than rifle and this is way unbalanced). Anyway just my 2 cents.
