If I remember correctly, they changed it so that med only works at 50% until you get TKM

Ok, I'm a TKM. I *never* use power boost.

In fact, I don't understand the meditate line at all. Losing wounds fast is nice and all, but really, is that all it's good for? Wounds, force of will, and power boost?

I mean, if I could only afford two lines in TKA, wouldn't balance and presision striking be better choices?

how does cure poison, disease, and bleeding sound to you?

because you can currently do all of that through meditation.

the only time i ever use powerboost is the rare occasion that i am hunting without a buff. the special attacks really drain the pools fast.

but, after all of the combat rebalance, i have a feeling that buffs will get nerfed, and we won't see 2500-2600 buffs anymore. and if that is the case, than the power boost will be a HUGE advantage. and force of will is extremely important. if you ever get incapped, and are about to get DB'ed, just force of will, and they can't db you.

well, they can't DB you untill they kill you a second time...

But it's true, it's certainly saved me a couple of times.

The poison/disease doesn't actually apeal to me much, but then, I don't get poisoned or diseased much.

Go hunt a Giant Dune Kimogila and we'll see if you would want to have poison/disease meditation healing.

unless you're a doctor, then nevermind, because then you can heal those states while still in combat.

but with the healing of wounds (at meditate 4 and TKM) ... it is still a lot easier than finding a doc to fix you up ...

Especially after Feigning Death for an hour while you get beat up and taken down to all black bars.

All you have to worry about it hitting up a Cantina to heal the BF.

I may someday give up some or most of TKM... but I don't ever plan to give up Meditation if I can at all help it.

I no longer need clothes or foods to stop bleeding, poison or disease - I take care of it once the fight is over. If it's powerful enough to kill me before then, nothing I could have done would prevent that anyhow... but I don't have to stagger into town and hope there's a doctor there that can treat my disease (as I had to several times during my whirlwind tour of all the Galaxy's POIs over the course of a weekend).

I no longer need to keep Novice Medic just so that I can treat my wounds after a hunt, nor hope to find a medical center that's staffed. I can meditate and heal as needed - and while it may be slower than a Doctor, no time is spent seeking someone who can treat me. In the 5 minutes someone else spends waiting for the shuttle to get to a Doctor, I can heal several hundred wounds.

For a while, I also had Novice Entertainer so I could heal my own BF - but the points simply aren't there for me now. Still, I can always meditate in a cantina while watching or listening to an entertainer.

I'm brand new to SWG, and enjoying it. I'm going afterNovice Pistoleer right now. Next,I was thinking of going after Novice TKA for meditate. Is this skill worth having? What does it do exactly? Does it regenerate HAM faster than sitting? If so, how much faster? Thanks.

Saw this thread and thought I'd pop in to answer *waves to the pistoleers*

Meditate does not boost your ham regen any faster than sitting. It does do a lot though:

At:

novice tka - meditate will slowly cure bleeds

meditate 1 - also cures poison

meditate 2 - also cures disease and grants the ability to power boost

meditate 3 - boosts the efficiency of all the above

meditate 4 - allows you to self heal wounds and grants the ability force of will

tkm - boosts the efficiency of all the above

Power boost - activate while meditating. It buffs your health, action, and mind pools by (unbuffed mind pool divided by 2). The buff lasts for 5 minutes at meditate 2 and 10 minutes at tkm with a 40ish second power up and power down.

Force of Will - gives you 1 chance per hour to attempt to recover from an incap instantly. It will sometimes fail, sometimes succeed with side effects, and rarely succeed and fully restore your ham. The faster you use it, the greater the chance of a good success.

There you go

Well, the Teras Kasi boards might be a better choice, but I'm a Teras Kasi Master too, so I might aswell answer.

Intermediate Meditative Techniques: You can heal yourself of bleeding

Advanced Meditative Techniques: You can heal yourself of poison and you get Power Boost, aminibuff that adds 50% of your mind to Health, Action and Mind

Expert Meditative Techniques: You can heal yourself of disease (or is that Master Meditative?)

Master Meditative Techniques: You can use Force of Will that may allow you you come out of incapacitation, or it may knock you deeper into it... it also lets you heal wounds, which is beyond handy.

Edit: Ok, maybe the above poster's right, I don't have a skill sheet handy and I'm tired
