I'm Talking about using bluemilk as a pistoleer, and pistoleer only. I do the same when using tka, or any other profession for that matter.

But the thing is, you can't look at it as "Pistoleer only". Each of us has 250 skill points, Master Pistoleer only takes up 92 of them. So we all have other aspects to our characters and it's not as if you can flip a switch on your stomach and go into "Pistoleer mode".

When I go hunting, I go prepared for a variety of situations. I prefer to use my VKs, but I might have to to up against something that is very resistant to kinetic (believe me, when you get a 44k mission for voritors, you grab the pistol instead ). So I need to choose a food and drink loadout that will address all of those possibilities. Relying on Blue Milk is insufficient, but the 2 Brandies/2 Ahrisa works well and leaves me room for whatever other food I need at that particular moment - Burnout Sauce, Canape, what have you.

/agree 110%

I only use blue milk when i pvp and When i do pvp I only use tka for dizzy/kd and state effects. So the ham used when landing these states is minimal.

Bet then again some people have the all pistols template

Heh, guilty as charged. 92 skillpoints to Master Pistoleer, 158 skillpoints for skills to support it. And that doesn't include medic

Wow! A whole thread right up my alley!

I am a Master Chef/Master Pistoleer.

There is a lot of good information in this thread already, and I will try to add to it without repeating too much.

First off, Blue Milk is fantasic. My current Blue Milk is +685 to mind heal. That is equivalent to a mind buff of over 2000 when the chips are down. There is no brandy out there that can compete with that on the mind. So believe me, Blue milk can and will pull you out of situations that Brandy simply can not.

But.....

They are for different situations.

My current Brandy is +425 for 45m30s. The great thing about brandy is it is long term and hits the substats. If you are PvEing and buffed, brandy makes a lot of sense. Since the enemies you face in PvE tend not to be too difficult (at least compared to PvP), the brandy makes a lot of sense. It gives a nice solid long duration buff that never goes away. I say this, because all food/drink digests within 45 minutes. So if you have food/drink with duration of 45 minutes or longer, you will never have any downtime. This is crucial for anyone in the middle of a fight.

It always seems to me that our weapons and their special attacks hit our action especially hard. I also use Accaragm, but usually if I am not buffed. Accaragm is great for that. If you are buffed, you shouldnt need to take a food in order to spam specials. I would also tell any and all Rifleman to forget about canape unless they are getting into a short-term PvP fight. Ahrisa works better for your needs, lasts as long as brandy, and is less expensive. Almost all of my Rifleman Clients have switched over to Ahrisa for PvE and long PvP battles. They only use canape for quick duels or if they get caught by surprise.....and they combine it with Brandy.

Another one to consider is Spiced Tea. I make a Spiced Tea that can give a +900 mind buff for 50 minutes. Doesnt hit the substats, but it also costs next to NOTHING to make. That, and ultra low filling make it desireable to occasional warriors who dont need or cant afford the more expensive options. I have a CH friend who loves that and Blue Milk. Wont use anything else.

Really, there is a LOT of food out there. Most people get stuck on the Brandy/Canape bandwagon because thats all they know, and thats all most Chefs make. Starsider is lucky, we have a LOT of great chefs, and have been unusually blessed with spectacular flora and creature resources lately. But I am sure that you can find these items out there. Try your trade forums, or a post in the Chef Forums, if you are looking for something you cant find. The Chef forums tend to be pretty friendly places for n00b questions about food.

Hope this helps.

ROFL

Well for what it's worth, I picked the name before I even considered going Chef. I agree that it is a horrible name for a Chef. My full name in game is actually Vomit of-the-monkey. LOL. I could go into a story about where the name came from....but its not worth it. I have been playing with that name, or Monkey Vomit, in various games for 5 years now.

I will say this though.....my customers ALWAYS remember me.

And now to your question.....

The filling on the Spiced Tea is either 8 or 9, depending on the batch. Its a good "SAVE ME!" food for the mind. If you find yourself in a fight, and your mind is falling and your belly is still almost full......you can still usually hit a couple Spiced Tea when you are too full for anything else. Each dose gives between a +70 to +85 mind buff. With such low filling, it can sometimes be just enough to pull you out of a bind when there isnt enough room for Blue Milk or Brandy. And once again, its cheap. Yay.

Look

So you can stack all of these? I'm confused, you said it give a +80buff? does the +80buff last for 50min?
