Pistoleer Archive
Thread: devs should have just told you outright that bh's were designed to be better pvp players...
True, not sure why pistoleers didn't understand that, we've all said it a dozen times.
But interestingly enough, you will soon no longer be able to spam disarming 2 and not kill yourself, so we're back to square one with that particular argument ![]()
Ahhhh, common Mameluke
Scouting exp isn't worthless, I want to bea Ranger/Master Gunfighter, don't say that ![]()
Steppencat,
That's....just incredibly on the mark. Why are they having people who pay to play, help them test something? Shouldn't they have their own people doing that?
I guess there are people who like doing that kind of thing....but still, we shouldn't have this put in our hands.
Whoever gets the first knockdown....WINS!! yay isnt that so much fun and take so much skill to do? YAY!!!
Seriously though. What this game seriously needs is BALANCE, all across the board. To begin to make pvp better, something needs to be done about knockdowns...not just pistoleer or bounty hunter...EVERY KNOCKDOWN IN THE GAME. In UO there was a simular move called stun punch. It only worked on players 1/4 1/5 times (cant remember exact ratio) not every time (this was with your skill up all the way too).
PVP in this game just makes me miss old school UO pvp...it actually took SKILL(the person at the keyboards') to do. The duels lasted longer than 50-10 seconds. There was always a way to counter what somone else was doing. This brings us back to balace, which this game does not have.
PVP needs BLANCE. bottom line
Seems like most pistoleers can't grasp the skill point thing.
They want to spend 158 points and master their profession and be more powerful than the bounty hunter who spends 217 points to master his profession. They want their cake and by god they want to eat it too.
I think that most pistoleers are so stupid that they would be happy if the devs just changed their titlesto "Pretty good with a pistol" and "Ok gunfighter" and "Almost a gunslinger". As long as you don't TELL them they are a "Master Pistoleer" maybe they won't whine about a bounty hunter being better. They certainly can't understand that balance is done through skill points spent, not through titles given.
Oh, plus, Master Doctor/Master Pistoleer owns you all.
Just sayin'
