I don't think they should move the pistol certificates up the tree, I think the tree needs more certificates, period. Even if they moved the certificates up the tree, everyone here has used all the weapons they'll ever use already. Does that sound very exciting? Maybe the DEVs have plans I don't know about. I hope so.

1) Pistol Melee Defense 2 needs a knockdown component added to it. It does more damage and would be a good upgrade to Melee Defense 1, however it has no knockdown effect like 1 does. The whole reason to use melee defense is for the knockdown, without that component its useless. Why get in melee with someone unless you can knock them down?

2.) A certification should be added to "master pistoleer" for a much better pistol. Its pathetic that our best pistol is available at the "expert pistol" level of the marksman tree. DX2's are a joke. HAM costs are the biggest issues of the "higher" end pistols, however all of the stats need to be beefed up for them to be considered an "upgrade" to the scout

disarming shot SHOULD if i may say....knock the weapon outta the hand to the ground..or knocked to inv..there should be a delay then to the next shot the player makes because he has to rearm him/herself to start blasting away again..

just damaging a weapons condition isn't enough..buy the time id go through damgaging a 1000..800 condition weapon ....id most likly be..dead or almost dead..

then they could just whip out a new weapon as well...they need a delay to this shot..

and i can just also hear the crying now in PVP that we are destryoing a players brand new weapon that they just spent 20k on and now its down to 250 condition when it was 1000..

disarming shot should do alitte damage to a weapon and a persons health bar..seeing as you hit the hand area with a hot bolt of energy..then the weapon should be in the inv or the ground....

thats a effeftive disarming shot imo...

I hadn't added up bonuses for BH, but now I am very disappointed. Why bother being a pistoleer at all? There is nothing on the first level of the skill lines (maybe the combat xp line) that is very attractive. Then you have to wait a ton more xp for disappointing lvl II lines. It isn't until you've made enough xp to complete the BH pistol line practically that you get a decent ability (BH 3 I guess...) Where's the point in this? You are still grinding away and the BH is done? Give the pistoleer some more attractive "cool" options. (btw, I like the disarming shot idea. Heh. Duel someone. They kill you..so what you broke their gun!)

I think there should be emotes for pistol twirling and such on some of the weaker skills. Certainly nothing that helps the profession, but it would be a plus.

1) Bounty hunters put in enough points for only one line in there tree and are better then our ENTIRE tree being filled. This is just riduculous. We should of course be 4 times better then a bounty hunter with just his pistol line filled since we worked 4 times as hard and took 4 times as many points. This has nothing to do with the bounty hunter's pre-requisites because the other lines are SUPPOSE to be the BH definers..

2) We need to be more unique from just any newbie with a gun.. give us cooler guns. Duel would be very cool but the arts not there.

3) REDUCE THE ACTION COSTS OF HIGH GUNS! This is an issue with all weapons but it definetly needs to be mentioned too. Anything higher then an FWG5 sucks more HAM then enemies do in damage to you. Here is what it comes down to.. my HAM vs NPC HAM means that I take a higher percentage of damage then the percentage of damage I give if I use the high guns... obviuosly broken badly.

4) Pistoleer only clothes.. I want to look different. Master pistoleer clothes.

BH's are close to being as good as Pistoleers but a BH should be good with a pistol (considering they have 3 other weapon branches) and pistoleers should be excellent with a pistol, considering we are can only use pistols well, and not the other two types.

...But then again this is just my 2 credits...

It was said, but I will emphasize it because I heartily agree with this, but a pistoleer needs to use 2 weapons simultaneously.

This could be a part of master or it could be a lvl 4 trait, but think about the effect this would have. Everyone is talking about how Torso > BodyShot3 etc. but if you had 2 of the same pistol, you could effectively do twice the damage.

The pistoleer shoots multiple targets multiple times. With 2 pistols, the damage is doubled.

I love this idea and was a little dissapointed when I opened the box and didn't see it available.

Should disarm2 really have a knockdown component? The strategy guide lists it. That will make master pistoleer worthwhile if so.

The republic blaster (master ws crafted item) has no certification in any skill branch. Would be a nice cert for pistoleers around marksman 3 if it's stats are made worthwhile (or at least make just put the cert in the game).

Just a comment on everyone complaining that bh is better than pistoleer. ummm you can take both. so your true bitch is that you want to be more powerful without having to invest points in the bh line. you want more power and want to retain your flexibility. not gonna happen. gotta choose between taking the bh line or spending points elsewhere. im bh pistol4 and am filling in the entire pistol tree. 6points novice ranger 6points novice ch and 1 point wasted. can do same with carbine. the rifle users are screwed since the bh rifle line is heavy wpns. seems to me pure rifle users will be inferior since cant take advantage of a bh line. so i guess im saying i know im better than a bh pistol user since im a bh pistol user and a master pistoleer.

i am a armourmisth and a pistoleer now looking at the marksman skill i think something very wrong has happened with you're marksman skill you get a load of guns but at pistoleer only one. it sound's fair and better to put 2 or 3 guns at the marksman skill 2 3 4. and the rest at pistoleer skill. bounty hunter have defintly better pistol skill if you see it how much xp they need and master pistoleer a bunch load less. and if you are a bounty hunter you'l take your rifle shoot you bam. he quickly change to his pistol and you're dead i think that more specialesd thing like knocking a mob to the ground is one. more specialesd stuff like in you're pistoleer skill number 3 a dual pistol.more damage to special attacks and new weapon stats look at the ham bars do i do more damage to myself than the enemy does with litlle creature's

ps. sorry for my horrible english

Pistoleer gives skills and attributes BH doesnt. BH is accuracy/speed... Pistoleer gives that, not as much but... we have defenses, dodging, accuracy while moving, etc. Now Pistoleer frees up A LOT of skill points for people who want to focus on a type of weapon but doesnt want to be a total war machine in the game. Maybe they want to be a Ranger also, or an Architect. BH wont allow that, even if you just go through to pistol skill tree... no sense. BH is focused differently from Pistoleer, so if you are angry then be a BH. Or learn their skills... or actually try out the skills from Pistoleer I doubt many of you actually have (yes yes, myself included...)
