I would be more than happy to do some testing on it as well but unfortunately I am not quite master pistoleer yet.

I have been a pistoleer since August and I have not used this shot once. Maybe i should try.

a couple notes:
-i am a master pistoleer with ranged support I, i was wearing a full suit (minus helm) of chitin (with about 17-20% base, depending on slice) and i was using a looted corsec CDEF pistol (3.5 speed, 17-35 dmg, pistol speed: 3) i have no additional skill tapes equipped
-the entire time i was targetting the leader; all four other died in about half the time as the leader, and were all neatly killed right beside me
-every time a plasma thief died, it emptied the queue completely; i refilled so that each shot was a multi-target pistol shot so these recordings would be accurate

what i can assume from this is that it does damage without logging, since it only listed damage twice for targets other than the leader(list in orange, all other attacks in yellow were listed as the leader), but all four others died long before he did (you can see when each died with each note of losing plasma thief faction standing)

I've been testing here and there this week. Damage and speed mods seem the same as before, must retarget after you kill main target (as before). Still seems buggy, but one thing is for sure, Fan Shot is still better DPS no matter what.

yah.... it's sad to say, but that is very true..... however with the mtps, it can also shoot behind you, not just in a 20degree arc...... a lot of good it does if the damage is less /sigh

It's a great shot and I use it a lot, just be careful youre not standing to close to a lair.. otherwise you will spawn a boatload of agros lol.

the guys respawned so i figured i'd take another shot at 'em.... this time i examined them first and all four regular plasma thieves had about 100 HAM, the leader had 735 HAM, samesituation as before, only i forgot to mention the leader ran about 20 or so meters away both times and all the rest ganged up on me (some behind)
this time only two died very quickly, the other two died right before and right after the leader did (the last guy fell over after the leader died and my little red x went away though, so it's safe to assume he died right before also)

Back when disarm2 was a aoe KD, if you used that first then used multi-target, multi worked very well. It seemed like the aoe in the KD somehow made all the mobs more targetable to the multi. But if you used multi first, it didn't work too hot.

Hmm, it's weird how it works. I was messing around in one of the piratre bunkers the other day and couldn't get it to hit multiple targets, wheras when I switched over to PBArea2 I killed pretty much the entire bunker in 3 shots.

It probably is working in the same way Fanshot works. The first time damage is 'applied' to a target you AREN'T targeting directly (i.e. some guy next to your mark) it aggros them, but deals no actual damage. also, if you kill your target in one shot, then start on another, the first area hits still count towards the 'fake hit'

I've found (and read somewhere) that the multi-target shot targets those that have already been damaged by you. Then alternates back and forth in the animation which target it shoots at. The primary target usually gets more damage done with a lesser degree on others. Yes, it will attack in any direction to keep following the enemies. It doesn't seem to do as much damage per shot as othe specials but pays off in the long run when you have larger groups of adversaries. I particularly use it when I'm hunting in groups as it seems to shorten the overall engagement time for the group.

Oh yea, one downside to this. I mentioned it will attack those targets already damaged by you...with the exception to lairs.Even if you haven't already hit them, it will target them. If you don't want to keep poking the lair and drawing stuff out, beware when near a lair.
