Thread: The rediscovered DL-44 Pistol...I never would had thought it's actually decent
DL 44's are my personal favorite of the pistols for the simple fact that you actually see them used often in the films.
The sounds for the firing is kinda off though.
I used one for a really long time myself, and now that I'm taking up WS to replace commando until it gets fixed I think I'm going to have som fun experimenting with them...
After grabbing Master smuggler, I immediately went and found a Krayt DL-44. Aside from the poor min damage and AP0, I love it to death. It's my primary PvE/Wookie gun now.
spd: 1.5, damage: 79-323 (w/33% damage slice).
It's a shame that other players can't see the scopes/muzzles/stocks. Weak.

One thing I just recently found out about is that the WS can add things like scopes, muzzles, and stocks onto weapons for:
1) a unique look to the weapon
2) added to hit bonus, damage, etc.
It's basically like a permenant powerup added to the weapon but the weapon must be crafted by hand. I also got some carbines with stocks and scopes and muzzles added onto them...not only does it create some nice damage spread and to hit bonuses but the guns look like real guns...just really got me into the game again.
Stocks are useful but cost too much in HAM fo rthe damage you get out of them. They look cool though.
Some weapons don't have a graphic for these "custom" looks so not all weapons will show the scopes/barrels/stocks.
Most weaponsmiths use every component in a weapon but these components won't show if they are made in a factory run.

These guns you are talking about kind of suck. My fwg5 is 117-621 dmg with a powerup, 1.4 speed.. Republic blaster 108-540 or so with powerup, 1.0 speed. Find some better ws's
You are talking about krayt weapons, pre nerf weapons or double sliced weapons(exploited weapons).
If those weapons are double sliced the stats will be impossible to duplicate. If they are krayt then they can be duplicated if a weaponsmith has fighting skills and can hunt for krayt's or wants to spend everything he makes on krayt tissues. Of course if they are pre nerf the stats can never be duplicated, especially if they are pre nerf exploited weapons.
Personaly I think those are exploited weapons, especially with the speeds so low and damage so high. Power ups make a difference but many of us have been around long enough to know what attributes go together on a power up.
