now would u still consider that the best bh/pistols template even if you werent using bh to actually hunt someone? I ask because i wont be a bh to hunt jedi, only for the fs. this woudl be a pve char

MBH/MP/Carb 0440ORMBH/MP/CM 4000these are undoubtable the best pistol/BH combos. Mine is the first.

I just don't think those are the only viable templates... as a M pistols MBH theres lots of other things you can do depending on what you want to do.
BTW, im still new to CU so when I hear squadleader I think of how crappy it was pre cu. When there was one Squad Leader on my server.
But hey, you know what, judge me all you want like you know me
I love it. Makes me feel more special than normal.

I just like the look of the new POST-CU Squad Leader Pistols..
And why fight if you don't look cool doing so...
Pistols 4-0-0-0 / Master Smuggler / Master Squad Leader...
And you get the following pistol certs.
-Perfectly Calibrated Pistol (Master Smuggler Cert) (80 SAC)
-Intimidator Pistol (Master Squad Leader Cert)
-Totchee Pistol (also known as the golden gun) (75 SAC) (MY PERSONAL FAVORITE)
-Rengade Pistol (Master Smuggler Cert)
I don't know about you, but the generic FWG5 doesn't quite do it for me. Yeah it has +15 General Accuracy mods, and made right can achieve an ultra-low sac. I do have one for those special hunting occassions, for the regular grind this one is tucked away...
Another cool pistol is the SR combat pistol, but again I carry it for the look and the nice frozen splash graphics....
So, now the real question is? Can you actually dish out damage with this template?
Yes and No.
For PVE and large scale PVP - Yes
For One-on-One PVP -Not fully effective (You NEED Healing line for One-on-One PVP)
With this template you can solo Level 85 Nightsister Sentinels and other critters.
Speedwise I get around 522 modded DPS, granted I judge SAC and Damage as the two most important handgun stats.
Here's what you get out of this template.
-Center of Balance (+250 Defense)
-Rally (+80 Defense/+40Ranged/Melee Accurracy)
-Volley Fire (+15% Damage for 40 seconds)
-Overwhelming Shot (Makes all state shots stick - Does not work on droids)
-Low Blow (-80 Attack Speed / Usefull in Large Scale PVP ,one on one you'd rather get in a damage shot)
-Improved Body Shot (1.5x Damage shot)
-Advanced Reckless Shot (1.4x Damage shot)
-Improved Concussion Shot ( 40 Second Mez/Root - Does not work on droids)
-Improved Panic Shot ( 30 Second Mez - Does not work on droids)
-Warning Shot (Negative defense debuff. Usefull for those using COB/Aura/Duelist Stance)
-Feign Death(Self Explantory)
-Advanced Firearm Strike (5m Knockdown)
-Improved Restraining Shot (25% Movement Reduction for 10 seconds)
-Assault Armor Certification
Also if you're looking for Assault Armor Certification and don't wish to be the Flavor of the Month BH. Then go Squad Leader. I personally like the look of Composite Armor. And ubese and tantel doesn't quite have the look. The good thing about recon is Scout Trooper Armor. That's next on my purchase list. Get a Scout Trooper Armor, a speederbike, and an SR Combat Pistol and ride around Endor.
Group with your pet droid and you can go to town. Oh you have to be grouped for Squad Leader Mods.
Squad Leader is not as gimped as people think, but certainly could use lots of love. It is combat profession lite. So this isn't the ultimate template.
With this template, you can carry the coolest looking pistols in the game.
It's all about style. I was thinking of picking up MTKA so I can wear cool clothes (White shirt/Vest/Striped Pants/Uniform Boots) while wielding a DL44XT.
It's all about style...
