guys most of yall are missing the point....

have you noticed that, besides the fwg we are lucky to get a gun over 300 damage?


now with nerfed fwg5s those wont be happenin either, the only chance we have are the crazy expensive krayt republic blasters.


i didnt say i wanted a desert eagle did i


i said i want a gun similar to that, hella powerful but slow


a gun like that can easily punch through a diesel engine, i would BET it would do AP


dont freaking flame that its too powerful


seen a good T21 lately? i spose you havent if your flaming this post


they have around high 300's in damage...slow speed but masters can shoot em basically as fast as any pistol


Heres the biggy...they have AP3...ive seen people solo krayts with a t21 NO PROBLEM


give the carbineers a good gun that wont kill them before they can kill their oponent


Give us a good gun that can compare to a t21


make it bad range i dont care, pistols are close range weapons


but i dont see 400+ max 3.0ish speed Cold Damage and AP2 as unreasonable, rifleman will still be better than us


just wish someone would make this a reality


even give it rare resources that never spawn


i dont care just give us something useful

I thought that an automatic laser pistol would be cool. I was thinking its speed would be .06 or less doing about as much damage as a power 5 pistol

Here's an idea. Since there are pistols that use rifle rounds IRL(i.e. Magnum Research's BFR line-up), why not make a pistol that can shoot rifle rounds for? These rifle pistols can shatter concrete blocks! I've seen it happen. They are slow as heck to reset a shot, but if people take down bears and buffalo with one shot and punch a clean hole right through, that's some massive power. There aren't head shots. I'm talking body shots. Of course it takes a strong dude to shoot these guns. They all weigh over 4lbs and produce over 1000lbs/ft of energy at the muzzle. It's going to chew up your HAM. I'm not sure it would be worth the extra cost for the extra damage. DX2s already chew it up fast. Maybe we could call it the T21-P and it could do AP2 3.0 speed.

First let me just put my opinion in that the devs are far too concerned with futzing around "balancing" professions to bother adding new content. That being said...


Before they add a new pistol I think they should make it so a pistoleer can use ANY pistol at master. I don't understand at all how there are pistols a master pistoleer can't use. Launcher pistols and scatter pistols should absolutely be useable by pistoleers. Makes as much sense to me asa master rifleman not being able to use an LLC.


There is a slug thrower in the game already (in response to the desert eagle and magnum talk) it's called a striker and it sucks, but it sucks in a way that makes sense. People put down slug throwers ages ago because a 9mm just can't stack up to a Scout blaster.


I'd love to get a cold based pistol, but the devs specifically put damage types in certain professions that they didn't put in others...riflemen don't get acid or heat weapons, we do.


What I'd really like to see as a balancing element that someone already mentioned...two guns at the same time. Aside from having a nice speed bonus over carbineer (ha ha they're pretty close on speed to us) and rifleman we have a whole other hand sitting there doing nothing. Why shouldn't we be able to put another gun in that empty hand. Sure we should take a speed hit when we're doing this, but the extra damage could make up for it. So you can either get damage from two pistols with decreased speed or you can get max speed with one pistol.


Personally I also believe we're the only profession that shouldn't take a hit on movement speeds while fighting. I think it's insane that someone can run around shooting a T21 and they're not slowed to a crawl by doing it.


Still, I have to say, the devs are way more concerned with breaking...I mean "balancing" professions to actually add content like new planets, guns, skills, etc.

9mms suck anyway. They have no stopping power , well, compaired to .357 magnum's.

That aside, I would like to say I agree with the dual wielding of pistols, but I already beat most riflemen in PVP. That could be because I went and got BH skills because I was tired of sucking. By the way BS 3 sucks .

well said that man!!!!!

At master pistoleer u should get certs for any pistol on the board - after all its our speciality........anything with pistol in the title should be useable by us


and of course the magic dual weild.

that i think would make master pistoleer a awesome profession.

soon as u get to master, u get to pull out 2 pistols, and either a brand new pistol that we can have or the scatter and launcher.
