Examples of what it would be cool if pistoleers were?

"The Man with No name"

"The Gunslinger"

"El"

Examples of what we realistically should be

"John Maclain"

"Anyone from the magnificent 7"

"The other 2 marachis from once upon a time in mexico, I perfer the drunken one myself"

"tequila from hard boiled because he was good, almost to good, but not GODLY, as he Fatt was in the killer"

The list goes on, to many to name in both instances...

By far the best example is The Man with no Name, depicted by Clint Eastwood from those Sergio Leone spaggeti westerns.

Yes, exactly ... because you get the best of both hero and villain pistoleers in those films. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is the ultimate pistoleer movie and has my all-time favorite pistoleer quote, when Tuco shoots the gloating one-armed man from his position in the bathtub:

"When it's time to shoot ...shoot ... don't talk!"

You also can't go wrong with For a Few Dollars More, with the pistoleer styling of The Man With No Name, Colonel Mortimer, and the wonderfully sick and evil El Indio.

I'm goin vash the stampede from trigun

he did fire guns, he just didnt kill people (cept that one guy)

that or id say either kirika (think thats her name) or mirrielle from Noir

not exactly the roguish types but they were great with pistols (anyone who can kill two guys who are 2m apart by shootin two shots through one bullet hole in the wall has got ta be good)

Spike was actually a bounty hunter(you probably know that) but he had the pistoleer, TKM thing going on. The last man standing is a good example of a pistoleer in the sense of his weapon use and style of fighting.
Almost forgot, how about The Marlboro Man from Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man?

Lucky Day: They are going to kill us.
Lucky Day: I've been shot already.
Ned Nederlander: I know.
Dusty Bottoms: What are we going to do?
Ned Nederlander: We're not gonna get paid, that's for sure!

we are by far the koolest ranged profession, im pistoleer 1/4/4/1 bh 3/0/4/0 and ranger 0/0/4/0

i like to think of my self and a jango fett style bh, even thought other bh "look down" on it. (jango used eye shot not stopping shot on the "bull thing")

pistoleer are alot harder to hit by melee and ranged fighters, its probly the onl profession the SOE didnt totlay screw up. i would still love to beable to use 2 pistols and some more "dodge" anime like flips and dives. we are sposta be nibbly bimbile like that. and adding pistol holsters anytime your not in combat adding a quick drawing gun slinger look to the profession. it would make the game that much more enjoyable.

How about Joker from full metal jacket? He fumbles with his pistol and drops it while his buddy hoses the target down with a big gun.

I think we really should be like Vash the Stampede. We dont get hit while our opponent kills them self with specials.

The combat upgrade and NGE fixed the ground game beyond repair. Thats why I stick to space as of now.

I thought the idea was to suggest what a pistoleer should be like, not what we are like now

I think a cross between a Gramaton Cleric and wild western gunslinger is about right for a pistoleer poster child.

Now gone.
Doesn't see the point of a bile-venting "I'm leaving" thread.

My gunslinger:

1. Gramaton Cleric.

2. Ned Nederlander.

3. Indiana Jones. (the scene with Indy and the big fella with two swords. The other guys pulls out the swords and swings then around. Indy, calmly pulls out his pistol and caps the guy.
