Ok let me clarify the (any) hybrid + Mast Pistoleer vrs. Master BH what I meant was for example a Master Doc/Master Pistoleeror (i think you can do this) Master Commando/Master Pistoleer vrs MBH advantage should be 50/50 equal amount of time spent for each. If you just dabble in something like CH with pistoleer then you should not extect to totally own things. Ownage should only come with complete mastery and a lot of work, not a dabble in this, oh ill pick this up for one cool special.

BH I would venture to guess is prolly a pain in the butt to master. The weapon skills seem easy enough and no harder than anyone else. But that bounty line seems like a realpain. Imagine how hard and expensive it will be when you are going to have to pay for insurance on your items.

Bingo.

I've used almost all my skill points up, and will have to do some adjusting to get some BH specials I want, and I'm not close to mastering any elite professions. However, with Pistoleer, Bounty Hunter, CH, and medic skills, I consider myself formidable.

Sure, I'm missing out on a lot of things by doing this, but I believe a lot of what I lose, I gain in other areas. I can control a respectable pet. I have well defined pistol abilities, including specials from both pistoleer and BH. I can also do some basic healing and stop bleeding.

I'm sure my character will evolve in one direction or another, but for the time being I am enjoying my skills quite a bit. I think a lot of people may be happier if they stopped concentrating on mastering a given profession.

" The time to get from novice to master BH is about the same time you need to master Pistoleer twice."

Cu7, that's a load.

I watched my g/f sitting beside me get from 0 pistol skill to 4 blocks of pistoleer in 1 week.

I picked up pistol in place of unarmed, and it took me a whole DAY to get to level 4 pistol. Yeah, it sure does take the same amount of time, considering carbine is slower, and rifle is a joke to level.. along with trapping (if you do it the legit way) and survival XP (those camps)

took me 2 weeks to finish the Rifle line, 3-4 days on the carbine. If you think that's false, goto test center and try it out for yourself there, buddy.

Guys, stop complaining, We know that some of you want to be one of the most powerful classes, without having to spend 3/4 of your **edit** points on 1 profession. I do undertand how pistoleers want to be remarkable with pistols, since it is a specialty. But c'mon now, read my 2 comparisons in my above post.

Good god. I don't know how some of you people are getting through life. (not all, so don't even go there)

I'm not even a BH or pistoleer for gods sake, I'm a Bi-Eng, Medic, CH, Rifleman.

Holy crap CU7, sorry!!!!! I read it wrong. Back problems = pain = no **edit** sleep = trolling the boards.

My bad, sorry, accept my apology please.

Anyone, that post goes along to the rest of the people complaining about the two in a comparison.

The time to get from novice to master BH is about the same time you need to master Pistoleer twice.

...just keep that in mind.

COMPLETELY irrelevant. The time/skill points/xp needed to get to a certain point doesn't matter. Comparing a master BH to a master pistoleer is comparing two very different things.

The BH line has 3 different weapon lines. They are, as the devs have stated, a HYBRID class. As such, they get to be very good with 3 types of weapons, and even get to do their own mision type that has a cool "flavor" to it. However, a master rifleman/carbiner/pistoleer is specialized in one area, and as such, should be able to outperform a BH in one on one PvP with the given weapon type.

For a moreaccurate comparisonof xp and skill points needed, compare a master pistoleer to a BH with only pistol IV (none of the other skills meanjack for pistol combat).

If you want to make a case for master BH > master pistoleer, thats one thing. They could make the lightninggun a killer weapon. But for pistol use only, the BH should not be as good as a pistoleer.

the only problem with saying BH's should use all three of their weapons to take down say a pistoleer is that the weapons each damage a different pool, that would be a good arguement if BH's could deal damage to one pool, but if im attacking you with my pistol and i decide to whip out my carbine woops now i am dealing action damage and ihave to start all over again basucally. also the person who calculated the novice BH and master pistolerr exp and showed master pistoleer cost more exp, your right master pistoleer is harder to get then novice BH and a master pistoleer will completely own a novice pistoleer(sorry if i didn't understand what you were saying). i think pistoleer should be killed one on one with a bounty hunter, a pistoleer knows how to use pistol to the best of its abilities so it is very useful, it is you can do a lot of things with it(or will be able to when everything is working), a BH has mastered the killing abilities of a pistol, but thats all we can use it for, not knockdowns, ot defense(i do realize this doesn't work at the moment), or weapon destruction, all a BH uses a pistol for is killing.

This thread only continues the already pointless topic of BH pistol vs Pistoleer...

The DEVs ended this for us already...

Get a clue

Please dont compare my profession to yours. I am not a pistoleer nor do I want to be like one.

The original intent of the thread was to point out, to the reading-impaired, how no one, including myself, suggested any profession be nerfed, or that pistoleers be comparable in PvP to BHs. I hope that after reading it, people did in fact, get a clue.

"ALL the other professions (fighting) get weapons that go upwards into the 300+ damage where we get a stupid DX2 that does 140? Hello!?!"

Hello? you are useing pistols (which I don't need to remind you). Most pistols are much faster than any other ranged weapons, and therefore have lower dmg.

Some of you guys want your ranged KD back? Hello? Pistols are ment for short range attacks. No way should there be a 64m KD for pistoleer. (under 20m perhaps)

How did this turn into a BH vs. Pistoleer thread....?

Can't you guys just take it to PMs or go to the discussion boards?

A little respect for this forum would be nice (this is to all people still participating in these arguments... not just one side of them.)
