"Sweet" doesn't really begin to describe how happy I am about the series of weapon additionsthey just threw up on TC. I was happy to see the bowcaster given some lub, and I'm not even a wookie!

Yep, with the new weapons (and the places they are certed) and the armor I that I've seen on test center, I am really happy the direction the devs are taking this game.
I love the idea of the 3 classes of armors, each with their own benefits and drawbacks. And within in those catagories all different styles with basically the same stats. It will make all armors viable options and I think we will see a huge variety of them(especially those easily recognizable from the movies) being worn, a great change from the "Great Composite War" of the last year and a half.

It appears you get your wish, Patch Notes show the DL44 XT has been moved to Master Pistoleer & the DL44 Metal as Master Marksman.

DE-10 looks a lot like some of the pistols in Jos Whedon's Firefly series ... it was fantastic.
DX-2 is just plain ugly in my opinion and I have to wonder how you holster it.
Scout Blaster, now I love the look of this weapon, if only it had more kick ... I've used some krayt tissues and had a pair sliced to 285 max damage and 1.2 speed. Shame the lack of any armour piercing still makes them worthless.

Very sad. People whine too much about things to come. Even in the presence of good things to come. Obviously everyone will not be happy with the certifications. The way I see it, it spreads the abilities out according to the plan SOE envisions with the no one template will be the best approach. Personally I plan on keeping Master Marskman/Mpistoleer/MBH. This template gives me the flexibility I need to fight solo, in group, and some crowd control. The ability to use fanshot and kill multiple targets simultaneously is awesome. It is just a matter of selecting the right weapon while in combat. How many of you bad boys can solo a NS Stalker with a striker pistol? I can. I expect I will still be able to after CU.

Maybe smugglers need a DL44 XP or something that is black all over apart from the barrel which is silver (so they can have a Han Solo pistol)

i think 2 different DL44 pistols certed at two different master boxes is enough.
the DL44 has been given its due as a iconic and powerful weapon in the Star Wars universe.
now drop it.
