All anyone wants is to have the ub3r l33t profession. If you dont have fun with the proffession youve chosen, switch to swordsman. They are currently the FotM.

I vote to NOT add ranged KD for pistoleers... we smugglers get few enough combat benefits as it is.

You should be asking to make smuggler skills more effective, not hold something back from another profession that is lacking anything useful as it is.

If we have a ranged KD it doesn't affect the smuggler at all ever. You still have one. If you want better specials ask for them. Like we have been forever. (God knows you all have been waiting on the smuggler revamp for like a year or more :smileysurprised

a kd/dizzy should be a a Smuggler's dirty fighting tactic, pistoleer's should not feel to lower themselves to such means.


why?


first of all even the thought of a kd and dizzy is one dirty tactic, not a display of skill nor fair. I'am both a master smuggler, master pistoleer and soon to be Desperado.


When you think of it, dizzy is more carbine specielty and knockdown being a tk but since smuggler is a hybrid proffession and requires pistol skill and teras kasi basics (brawler hand-to-hand4) it should have its knockdown, also kown as lowblow.


The smugglers low blow should have a dizzy effect to it with kd, if anything. My reason to support it is becuase as a solo smuggler being gang banged by peeps he should have his dirty tactics such as this to get away, a smuggler should be smart enough to cut his loss's and leave. And for the smuggler this would increase his popularity as a group support able to kd.dizzy targets for himand others to easily takedown.


one thing that bother me about smugglers is it needs pistol exp for dirty fighting, it should just need combat exp or some other generic exp. that way other can enjoy it. to keep it from being over popular a kd/dizzy should be a master smuggler speciel in dirty fighting.

I love the "drop and flop". I can just imagine a big old fish in PvP now (not mon cal, a proper fish!)

I have a deep hatred of dizzy/kd.

There is just something completely wrong with not being able to respond AT ALL in a fight. IMO dizzy should not affect a KD. A KD should last say 10s then you can get up. Dizzy should just give a random chance of a PD. You're standing, you stumble to your knees etc. Having the two intertwined just results in "you're so dizzy you fall down" nonsense. Well it's not nonsense, it makes perfect sense, its just gamebreaking. Having a chance of a random PD with dizzy and KD being a seperate beast alltogether leaves them both functional and useful but not gamebreaking.

Well put, and I highly agree.

If Pistoleers need a role (and we do!), I would suggest that it shouldn't be crowd control, but it should be melee-killers. Of all the ranged profs, we're best suited to get into a melee-er's face and do pistol damage at close range. Just a few more points of Melee defense and we'd be set for that.

So i went Carbine


nop offence but that is what a carbine does crowd control -- and the state effects -- we arent good at anything else..


If this was done i say they need to give more to carbiners.

Well, till now Ive only beaten people without armor.... and mostly unbuffed.... just waiting for revamp so I can actually kill and not get killed
