Thing is people can gang bang all they want... but when the chance to knockdown someone is like .01% with even 5 people doing it it won't happen often... and I have to say if 5 people with "the whip" have to even bother using it on killing someone.... then maybe you want to spend the credits on a weapon better than a CDEF.... just an idea there.... and as for MOBS... if the thing is soooo huge that it stays alive through a massive beating of 5 pistoleers... then it would eventually have been knocke down enough that it would start ignoring the knockdown all together using the "scaling resits" lets use an ATST for example... a bunch of people knock it down... blah blah blah do it a bunch...lets say getting it to Half though I doubt it... woops knocked it down too much now its practically immune to KD uhoh... we were all dumb and standing next to it... uhoh... we all seem tobe dead...
and well 5 people should be able to hold one person down and kill them no prob... happens all the time... safety in numbers and all....

Zerona, 5 people we coordinated will be able to keep someone down for a long time anyways. Aside from that 5 on 1... comon, we are not using 5 on 1combat scenariosas the standard for judgement are we??
"uh, I was taking on 5 pistoleers and they kicked my arse by alternating knockdowns, their knockdown is too powerful" If it is 5 on 1, you got other things than the knockdown to worry about.
Actually no, there was a net increase on the HAM cost for knockdown attacks on Test Center according to the patch notes. Sony wont be satisfied until they nerf KD into oblivion.

Take away ranged KD and you pretty much ruin the purpose of master pistoleer, especially since weapon speed has almost no bearing at that point.
Seems to me if you just increase the base resist to knockdown for everything across the board you will solve the problem.
Also seems to me that the Devs are determined to force me to leave the one game I really was looking forward to playing for the last 2 years. *sigh*
Yes and afterwords when questioned about it, a dev spoke up and said the end result of the changes was an increase.
