1. COOL PISTOL TWIRLING ANIMATIONS!!!!!
Seconded ![]()
Hey guys, your melee defense 2 doesn't need a knock down, because melee defense 1 should have the knock down removed... ![]()
When a pistoleer can out melee a swordsman you know there's a problem. When a pistoleer can out one-shot a rifleman (with stopping shot) there's a problem. Your class is so totally overpowered it's not even funny...
1- New pistols with certs at high level. I want a last powerful pistol, to look forward becoming Master, soI want the pistoleer profession to have dedicated pistols (not only DX2)
2- Pistoleer must be able to wieldALL pistols (BH's ones)
I don't see anything else for the moment. But i would say that i don't think the dual wield will be implemented, or it will be done with a great decrease of speed and/or with only a kind of pistol (not yet existing) Because i imagine my character with two scout blaster (like the one i have 63 - 143 damage,11 wound chance, 1.6 speed, 12 24 12HAM) and i think i will be invisible...
as with everyone else....
1) fix BH being more powerful with a pistol then pistoleer.
2) new/better weapon certs as you progress through the pistoleer class. make being a master say something in the form of an elite pistol that only masters could use.
3) we are pistoleers. there should be NO pistol in the game that we cannot use at Master Pistoleer
4) fix broken specials. as mentioned disarm shot1 is a joke and add knockdown to meleedefense2
5) dual wielding pistols would rock but im sure there would be serious game balance issues..still would be nice.
My top 3 items (couldn't think of 5)
1) Fix Dodge.
2) Fix broken/useless special moves, such as disarming shot.
3) Advanced weapon certifications for new guns, possibly pistoleer only.
I don't have a particular problem with bounty hunters having their own guns. I think it adds variety to the game. I do think we need many more guns at advanced levels though and some should be pistoleer only.
I also don't think we should be as powerful as bounty hunters for half the skill points spent, but that has been discussed in another thread. I would think a request to the dev's to clarify their 'vision' would be appropriate though since this is leading to a lot of class envy.
I don't think we have a whole lot to complain about compared to many other elite classes.
1. Lack of pistols and certs. This goes for all weapon specialization trees. Dont you think a master pistoleer should be able to use a couple more pistols than someone with apprentice gunfighter?
2. Inability to compete with a BH using pistols. And I am the pistoleer right?
3. Dual wielding. place an accuracy penalty on it, and dual wielding might work
4. Dodge and defense versus stun dont work often enough
5. Holsters.
1 - 5:most important -least
1) Certifications for Pistoleer only guns, with separate damage types. (Let BH's keep their pistols, just give Pistoleers their own)
2) Fix Styles that don't work, add another health specific shot that does more damage, and a position changing shot.
3) Dual Wielding (No increase in damage, just looks. Make each pistol do 1/2 damage or decrease accuracy)
4) Fix defensive abilities to work.
5) Holsters/Sheaths for all weapons (Shoulder, Hip, Thigh, Boot, Back)
To the Swordsman complaining about Pistols, please try grtting your class improved rather than trying to get our class nerfed. Plenty of other classes can one shot people, not just pistoleers. (Obviously you have never been headshot with a Laser rifle by a Rifleman or been berserked on by a TK)
I have to admit that when I see duel-wielding and holsters in a Top 5 Profession Issues list, I can't help but think that this profession is balanced pretty **edit** good. We're not too strong, but definitely not weak. All in all, it's hard to ask for much more when you look at the state of other Top 5 lists.
Good job, devs!

NOT holsters - simple cosmetic fix. Maybe if everything else was working.
NOT the BH / Pistoleer issue - BH SHOULD have advantages considering the requirements
NOT that we don't get all pistol certs - variety is good.
I find it interesting that my points are so different from many folks
1 - Fix the broken defensive skills (dodge and defense vs xxx)
2 - Fix the gun issues. This is a cross-profession issue as it's largely resource issues, experimentation issues, schematic issues (especially schematics that call for multiples of subassemblies), the issue with using sub-assemblies that were factory made not passing on stats correctly, etc... Basically, the higher level guns should be BETTER.
3 - Fix the broken or unbalanced so they'd never be used skills (things like BS3 does too little extra damage to justify the extra delay, and without a knock down, who's going to use PMD2 over 1?)
4 - PVP fixes - PVP should not be 1 and 2 shot kills and whoever gets the first knock-down in wins.
5 - I'd like to see the pistol certs that we do get spread out a bit more. By the time you're novice pistoleer, you have them all. That's a bummer
The only real issue I have is that Bounty Hunters are better pistol users than the Pistoleer. They have to split all their time between three weapons. We focus all of our time on one. There is no reason whythe should be better (and as for the Jango Fett thing... if he's dualwielding, he's probably a Pistoleer as well) than someone who's putting all their time on one weapon.
I like the idea of Pistoleers having certs for every weapon in the game, but... on the other hand, Bounty Hunters and Commandos should have some distinction too. I vote for more advanced certs for us and a bigger selection of pistols. The fact that every pistol, by our level, is completely useless but the FWG5 is a bit depressing. I want to have to choose if this is the better weapon for the job, or is this one. Whether I want to damage this type or this type. Kinetic or Acid or Energy or whathaveyou.
That's my two cents.
