I have 1.8 speed DX2. Speed sliced. Works even better with a damage powerup.

There is no perfet gun. I myself have Republic, Featherweight FWG5, DX2, and a Tangle (sucky one). I find myself switching between them quite often. Especialy when hunting.

You have to go to the geonosian cave in Yavin IV... I don't remember the waypoint. You can't enter but if you can kill a geonosian very close to the door you'll can loot it. I only could loot one corpse but I got it .

dx2. Accuracy is fixed. And the HIGH min damage is KEY for Mitigation.

Here is how I use weapons

I all most all ways use a DX2, if need to use a different weapon go for the Republic, then if some high res to both acic and engery, then look for a FWG5, Tangle, or Striker.

I've seen freshly made d18's with a speed of 1.5 ( and decent damage, too...they aren't like they used to be), and dh17 pistols regulary have a very nice speed. People will assume you are a Carbineer, which is funny, but with slicing, nearly every dh17 pistol I've owned has come close to a speed of 1. I carry one of every pistol (always carry a striker for nightsisters, they can be ok in combat with slicing and powerups), but generally it comes down to Republic Blaster at long range, then hotkey switch to FWG5 or DX2, depending on the resists. If the target examines as resistant to both heat and acid, which is rare but does happen, I switch to dh17 or scout. The tangler, well, even the striker is superior in both speed and damage. (and, hehe, did you know many types of nightsisters have 100% resist to stun, energy, heat, and acid, but not to kinetic..). Anyway, it pays to be prepared for eventualities.

Now the DX2 can hit stuff it owns, i went fp hunting in mos espa today with my freshly bought and sliced DX2 (31% on the damage slice, 212 max dmg, woohoo) and cleaned up, i made about 2k fp in about 15mins, which was sweet.

I just made pistoleer and don't know a lot about it, but if your pvping, the higher minimum of the DX2 is good or tangle because most armor is vulnerable to stun.

Republic Blasters are weird. If you look on your skill screen, it should say you're certefied. If you look on the gun's info thing, it'll say you aren't. You are. Everyone is. I tell every noob I meet this. You don't have to start out with crappy guns. Buy the gun and check it out. When you equip it, nothing will happen. If you were not certefied, you'd get a message telling you so.--Feck

I just got novice pistoleer and bought a sliced republic blaster. Add that to some powerups I bought and it brought my damamge up to 336 max. Its a great weapon to get.
