Here's some truth about proffessionsL

Master Doc: as far as fighting is concerned, its a waste of skill points, except for maybe the buffs.

I'm betting you whine about cm's too.... Just a thought....

Something else to understand, I PVP reguarlly. And am quite often the person killing poor souls like you.

But whether you realize it or not, big advantages can be had when you KNOW your going into battle as opposed to hanging out at the mission terminal not expecting anyone to run up and kill you.

Personally for me this difference can be a full set of stun layered composite and another 1500 to my mind HAM, if I know it's coming and have moments to prepare for it.

When I've seen 3 or 4 people in a group I wanted to kill... if at all possible I take the time to analyze what each of them is. What professions they have, what buffs they have, what equipment they are using. Then I make decisions as to the "order" of who should go down first. Usually that means the medics die first.

Now in that situation if you didn't see me coming in the first place... you are not going to have clue 1 as to what you should do to me. For instance if I were a pistoleer, then the best thing you could do in a fight is to intimidate me. But if you didn't know that from the get go, you'll either waste time intimidating me, or not intimidate me at all when perhaps you should have. While I on the other hand know exactly what I'm going to do to kill you. Even more to the point, if your all so new to this game, even if you did know what professions I had, you may not know what you can do to slow me down other than spam your best dmg specials.

My point is, when you can't choose the time and place of battle, and allow someone else to choose for you, you have already begun to lose before even the first shot is fired.

Just like in the instance you describe. Your attacker knew clearly who to gun for first. He took the time to /examine the atst determine the owner and killed him first, rightfully so.
