carbineer has full auto area attack as well as an area KD. If carbineer had a stun carbine it would be tough. I found master Carbineer with carbine 4 on BH tree was great for PvE cause you can through area states like dizzys the area KD and keep NPC on perm kd while you spam area shots. then problem with carbineer is the fact that you have no defense. i was master carbineer with bh carbines and fought a master rifleman and was able to dizzy KD them and pin them with cripple shot. IMO you want to balance combat get rid of dizzy. just have KD so people cant be perma KD. If they give pistoleer state effects like carbineer then that would be awesome. carbineer can dizzy/blind/stun/KD while satnding 40 m away master BH get spray shot which is tough

my templete is:
Master Pistoleer, BH xx4x, Smuggler xx4x, brawler 4xxx, scout 4xxx, master marksman.
i am also thinking of adding xx4x commando or 4xxx commando to it, not shure if i want flame single 1 or the next gernade cert.

Currently I'd say BH/Carbine is the better one for both PVE and PVP. As a carbineer HAM costs will be extremely high, but sincealmost everyone plays buffed that does not matter. Being a carbineer it is not hard to getvery powerful weapons.
Sliced and powerup a laser carbine will easily go up too 120-540, with mediumAP this is devastating.
A DXR6 will easliy go up to 220-370, with light armor piercing and acid damage this is also very good.
These are just normal weapons without any rare enhancements such as krayt tissues. With 100+ speed these weapons will be fired just as fast as the weaker pistols.
You will often find yourself hitting for over 5k in PVE as a BH/Carbineer.
At PVP a BH/Carbineer is not at all bad, though you willl be lacking defenses you will be able to hit most people for a lot of damage and you will have the states ''Stun'', ''Blind'' and ''Dizzy'' appliable in one move. You will also have both posture change and knockdown allowing you too keep you enemies down. Plus you have the devastating area knockdown which combined with FullautoArea will let you dizzy, stun, blind, and knockdown multiple targets.
But BH/Carbineer does lack the direct mindshots, the defense and the ''Stun'' damage type of a Pistoleer/BH it more than makes up for that in offense and states.
If you are doing BH/Carbineer I would have however recommend you pick up Novice Brawler, The pistol Techniques line and some medic as this will help greatly.
Especially intimidate is vital.

My general experience was that the carbine template had better states and dizzy, whereas the pistols template could target pools better.
So, in my opinion, a big difference between the two comes down to just that:states vs. damage direction. There's other factors (dodge, counter attack, etc.) but I feel that's the gist of it.
If it wasn't for the weapon-switch delay, I would highly recommend combining them both, butI'm very hesitant to suggest that in the current state of the game (i.e. 3 seconds is a big deal in my experience).

medic 2 1 0 0 really helps in my opinion, combined with +25 injury treatment clothes and some nice B-stims you will heal a lot.

Nice comments. I worked out a plan on how to change my current template into a Carbineer one but I actually have some points left over interesting enough. Enough to get a novice box and two boxes after it. Was looking into medic but don't know which line would be the most useful one. thoughts?
