Thread: How to beat a DOT stacker?

Can turrets still be planted un-attached to bases? I used to carry a small block for arse-wipes like this. The instant he fiegns, you plant the turret on top of him.

Maybe he calls for help and you get a shot at replacing your faction when they arrive. Maybe not. Any way you look at it, he's going down the instant he stands up, and you don't have to waste time watching him.

There is really very little to spend your faction points on, a couple of k is worth it to me.

ya, and blackbar the SOB while yer at it. There is a reason you still take wounds while /feign is on. More vengance than "how to beat"

There is a nifty bit of info about DOTs and how long they tick. To prevent perma-incaps due to recieving more wounds than your HAM allows you can NEVER recieve more wounds than your resting HAM -1.

Say you have a 1000 mindbar. your TOTAL wounds to the mindbar will never excede 999. If you pop 2 brandy ( say +425 per) your mind bar cannot be wounded to below 851, add in master buffs and it's now 1851.

The DOT stops ticking when you hit that point. I've stood over DOT stackers and laughed as their DOT's reach the end and I'm still standing. Cure the poison as fast as you can. As long as it isn't mindfire you should be able to keep up with stims. If it is mindfire, you will need a Jedi to keep it full while the DOT's tick.

For once it pays to have your stats adjusted for the current "buff" warfare. The smaller your resting HAM, the less wounds you can take from dots. Just keep an eye on your food/buffs. Once they fall your gonna be a mess.

So, prioritize the DOT's you drop. Poison first, fire if you can. Remeber that as you approach your resting ham value in wounds disease is completely removed from the equation, and fire just becomes a second "poison" type tick. As long as it's still the only one ticking ( not stacked on a real poison) you should be fine.

I've always relied on the TEF to alert the turret as you need to be overt to place them anyone attacking you is turret food, but then I usually have the turret down in advance and drag folks thru it. ( Nifty trick I used w/my Jedi. Toss a few turrets around the planet you are leveling on. No one expects to be dragged into a pair of small blocks in the middle of no-where dantooine).

I would think as soon as "DOT'er" tries to re-engage the turret will fire for sure, if he stays down long enough to drop the TEF a covert scanner couldn't hurt.

The turret isn't sure fire. Others can come tear it down, and it more than likely will not still be standing tomorrow, but it puts the ball in "DOT'ers" court. Let him sweat about it for a while, there is fun for you to be having elsewhere.

I do like that idea of dropping turrets....sounds like fun!

Don't beat him, beat his weapons. Use disarm shots to hit his weapons. Do it enough times and he'll soon stop fighting you... either that or his weapons will get ruined. I know that some thinks this shot doesn't work, but i have heard about accounts where someone has lost a good weapon due to disarm shots. Note that if he feigns with his weapon equipped you will have a very good chance to destroy it... as with his armor.

Lol, this post made me go back up to the top to make sure that this wasn't a necro post. Ahhh, i remember back in the good old days when i was dumb enough to think that just because the skill was on the skill list, it would work. I can hear the devs laughing at me right now, "tehehe, that silly milgram thought we released a complete game tehehe. I bet he thinks that all the pistoleer specials will work after the nerf--umm, uh, i mean upgrade."

Your best way to beat him is going to be doc 4000 and then whatever else you want. As soon as he feigns, put out the fire, poison and disease, then go over and start kicking his armor in, turn all of his ham bars black, and raise his BF to 1000. I am a feigner myself, and i don't think anything you do to them while feigning is griefing. All they need to do to end the maddness is to type /stand and die.

I had a little useless sperm cell do this stuff once......

THEN, I caught him alone, unbuffed, taking on an AT-ST with a bunch of Reb NPC's at our faction base. I had great buffs, mind buffs, muon, canapes, brandy, disease food....he didnt even know what hit him.

And as far as griefing this guy, I'd be all over it. I would grief him EVERY chance I got. Personally, I feel that FD is a cowards way out anyway. If you're gonna get beat, get beat. Don't be a looser in EVERY sense.

FD IS BREAKABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read this all you nay sayers

the only 1 way to break FD is to have a Jedi with Master Healer use the full heal other ability. It forces you to stand up, thus it breaks FD

Exarch - Rebel Soldier, Jumped to Lightspeed too far, far far away into a new World, World of Warcraft, Recruited by the Alliance to fight a similar war in the realm of StormReaver along with the Outkasts of Sunrunner who also found themselves in the same situation. With little hope of return to their Rebel friends they have begun to start again, learning the ways of their new home, trading in their blasters for Axes, Swords and Magical powers. The fight will be difficult, but failiure is unknown to us, for we are the soldiers that struck fear into the Emporer himself and put his armies to shame....

No, there is a rifle shot called Flurry Shot or Flushing Shot or some crap like that that actually posture up an enemy.

Using this attack you can "pull" someone out of feign death. You don't need to DoT them, just have a rifleman.

Your kidding right?!?

This doesnt work, has not work since launch...

If it works on your server, than thank you server admin lord, but not on intrepid's.

I have not yet tested this, but I was told yesterday that rifleman's snipe shot (at sniping 4) can instantly kill a FD opponment as long as the hams has no health in them.

Also another way is to use drag incappicated player from medic x2xx and drag his ass to someplace such as the nightsister stronghold.

Dont believe everything you hear.

Drag would need /consent or to be grouped to work.

Dont work, and to drag he needs to consent you or be in the same group...

Anyways, get doc in your template, that should fix it, then he can lay there for nothing.

The turret thingie is a excellent idea, im gonna carry some around just for the looks on peoples faces when it pops up from nowhere!

As said earlier a master healer jedi can "cure" the fd state, hence making him stand up....

I dont know if it has already been posted in this thread, but the only way to break FD is to use like jedi master healer to use forceheal or something like that. I know it has been tested by jedi and works.
