The number that pops up over the enemy's head is the correct one I think.

Get yourself buffed by a Doctor, it will be worth the money, If you have your Action, Stamina, and Quickness buffed for 1200 to 2200 which lasts for about 3 hours, you will never watch your action bar move. It satay full! I am a Master Doc and pistoler and use these buffs on myself and friends, I can specialfor hoursnon-stop.


I do 6 stats for 5k on naritus.

I was gonna suggest the Master Doc buffs as well being one myself


The number above the critters head is it's damage with your bunus to hit at AR1 and it's resistances.


They have had problem with combat spam before but the armor spam seems to work when wearing armor. I geuss you shouldn't know what the enemies armor managed to stop really. It's not like it would be blatantly apparent right? Unless the guys dead of course ...


DX2 pistols are great for armored opponents. Even AT STs feel a bit of an extra bite from these


FWG5 pistols with a Master smithed HAM cost and speed rul over scout Blasters IMHO. They do more damage unsliced and make a great work horse pistol for you xp grinding. Scout Blasters just don't pack enough punch for me and now with a raised HAM cost for KDs, a mastersmithed CDEF Pistol with it's nearly nonexistant specials cost is a great way to go. Then switch to a real gun of course

The AR system right now is broken in that weapons with AR1 and above don't get damage adds against things that have AR0, at least under some circumstances. (Haven't tested it enough to perceive all details, but there's other threads about the problem.)

One thing you have to look at about the dx2 is the range. It has no real range. PB is what its best for. I use my fwg5 for range and switch to the dx2 when i get up close and personal.

The AR1 on the DX2 is broken, as far as I can tell based on tests I've run. The acid damage and high minimum damage is nice though.


I usually only use DX2 (or Scatter Pistol) when I'm in a duel or some other situation when I don't care about HAM costs. Otherwise it's much better for me to use Scouts, because knockdown has the same effect whether I use a Scout or DX2. I don't think DX2 helps at all for PvE right now, since I can solo pretty much anything with a Scout.


Using other pistols will matter a lot more once Disarm2 is nerfed ... at that point we'll have some very tough choices to make. I'm already stocking up on Action HAM Cost Reduction powerups LOL

I use the scout blaster formobs because it takes so long. If I'm buffed I use the FWG5 for mobs. PvP I usually use FWG5. On armored targets, ATSTs, dragonettes, etc., I use the DX2. The DX2 is significantly better against armor through observing the amount you hit for in the combat box.

Yes, however I have tested in PVP against players DX2 is better than FWG5.

On players wearing armor or just in general?


Mine ended up with a damage slice, and 2.8 seconds vs. 1.5 on my FWG seems kinda long.

I love my DX2, i dont wear armor tho. Acid Damage with Light Armor Piercing fun time.

Aye, DX2 range modifiers are a killer. At point blank, mine is +8. At "ideal range," it's -26. At max range it's -90.

To me, the DX2 wasn't worth the money and I rely almost exclusively on my scout blaster. The only time I switch to the DX is when I want the armour penetration. As a hunter, I don't need that too often.

DX2 I use for NPCs or just PVP which it IS as I've tested the most effective weapon agaisnt other players, even with the ham costs, just slug down a Tatooine Sunburn and you will notice a difference in PVP. So to me right now, DX2 is a dominant PVP weapon, and situational against certain Mobs. But the armor does need to be fixed.


Also Tangle Pistol is a good situational weapon with the stun... read the Tangle post it has it's uses although def. not a "all around" weapon like the Scout or FWG5 could be considered.

You're talking about 2 different levels of quality here. A FWG even sliced with 1.5 is much better quality than a dx2 with 2.8 speed before slice. Unless the dx2 is up in the 200+ area with damage. On my server best FWG I've seen is 2.0 speed, something-200dmg. Think action ham is like down to 35.


Best DX2 I've seen on same vendor was 107-155ish dmg, 2.3 delay. action cost down to like 40.


DX2 is on par when the AR1 is working, but its bugged so that unless the mob has acid resist of 1% or higher the AR doesn't do anything (or so i've gathered from posts).
